Beans & Brews Coffee House — Restaurant in Cottonwood Heights

I had a surprisingly nice time in this coffee shop. Its atmosphere is better than the one in Sugarhouse. I also found Turkey and avocado sandwich that is only 475 calories and is healthy enough even for me. Egg bite tasted good to me too. It also serves a big cup of coffee 32 oz so have have some left over for the morning. And the coffee tastes good, quality is consistent and not too expensive. Lots of parking spots and importantly some spots benefits from shades from trees. Outdoor seating has shades. Happy. Will be back.

I come here every Sunday to get a Mr B to accompany the bagel I get next door. I love doing so and have never had a negative encounter until today when I walked in alongside a boy who I recognized as one of the Sunday workers, who disappeared into the back. There was no one manning the counter whatsoever, when there is normally 3 or 4. I waited for about 10 minutes and walked out. Came back 15 minutes later and miraculously there were 4 workers. I still stood at the counter for 5 minutes before one of them finally even acknowledged I existed. extremely confused and kinda disappointed about the extreme change in work ethic and customer service today. This Beans & Brews, which I frequently go to all around the city because it’s better/cheaper and I like to support local, is BY FAR the worst. It’s in a great location but the service sucks and everything they serve you is super inconsistent each time. With nobody in front of us at the drive through it took 11-12 mins to get us our 2 drinks and 3 breakfast items. My iced caramel cielo tastes like it’s missing two ingredients and my wife’s chai latte tastes more like a hot water-based tea than a latte.
