This restaurant is supposedly rated as the best Italian food in Northern Arizona. First, I wanna tell you that I am Italian, I am from San Francisco. I moved out here five years ago third I am also a cook. We waited outside in our car until 6 PM and 15 minutes before that someone from the restaurant called and asked if we were gonna be making it to the restaurant and I said yes we are waiting in the parking lot. (There were 11 of us) We went into the restaurant promptly at 6 PM and had to wait 30 minutes for our table to be made ready plus they put us in the bar area where the chairs were maybe 5 inches too short of normal dining chairs, which made it rather uncomfortable? One side of this long table was near the wall, where you could not pull out the chairs far enough to comfortably sit, my wife had a terrible time trying to get into the chair where I had to maneuver it after she had gotten in it to square her up.I ordered the special soup and salad and focaccia bread all you can eat. I also ordered a lasagna Bolognese.I focaccia bread was OK but nothing special. I had the weddings soup that was bland not a lot of flavor, the salad was kind of wilted and the vinaigrette tasted terrible. Oh, one more thing about me I make vinegar. when my lasagna came, it looked like it was sitting under a heat lamp for a half an hour, flavor was minimal, and it was dry, it might’ve been better if it was directly out of the oven without having to sit for a while. Very disappointed. on top of it, they put a 20% tip on our tags it’s OK if it is just one bill for all 11 people but every couple had their own bill so I don’t believe that the 20% automatic tip should’ve been placed on all of the tags or bills. PS The only thing that was relatively good, was the dipping...
Read moreI have eaten at this restaurant at least 10 times, both for dinner and lunch. My husband and I stopped in for dinner today (5/13/25) and we were asked if we would mind sitting at the bar, which was fine. Our server was Gabriel S, he took our order and several and different people brought our food; soup, salad, etc.
Gabriel did check with us once to ask how our food was, however after that he never checked to see if we wanted another drink or anything else. He asked us if we wanted dessert (once we finished our meal) which we didn’t, so he brought our check quickly. He was then gone again, our water glasses had been empty since the middle of our meal, we wanted more water but he wasn’t at the bar. Another server happened to notice we had been sitting for a while so she came and asked if she could check us out (she was very nice). She took our credit card at which point Gabriel showed up to ask if we wanted more water (just in time for us to leave a tip).
Gabriel wasn’t rude, he was just not very attentive although at one point he was in the bar area talking on his phone, standing right in front of my empty water glasses.
I have always had a good experience at this restaurant so I thought you would value some feedback. I realize Gabriel could be new or maybe had other restaurant chores to attend to but we felt somewhat ignored. Of course we will continue eating at your restaurant, it could have been...
Read moreThis was our 2nd visit. On 1st visit for lunch, server brought out basket of bread ahead of our sandwiches - we did not ask for it, so assumed we were to get bread whenever we ordered lunch. 2nd visit, ordered the soup, salad, bread lunch special. My husband and Mom ordered paninis. I received my soup and was told that my salad would cone out with the paninis - no problem. After about 20 minutes, my husband asked for bread, assuming bread was to be provided with any lunch entree as on 1st visit. They ate the bread, I did not since my order was to come with bread. When Marco brought out my salad and the paninis, I asked for my bread. He reprimanded me by stating that it looked like I shared my bread with the rest of the rentable. I was so embarrassed. Had we known my husband and Mom were not entitled to bread, we never would have asked. I said I thought that was their bread since we had bread brought out to us, unsolicited, on previous lunch visit. He said bread is only served during dinner or if someone asks for it, but not supposed to get it during lunch. If I know the rules, I follow them, but went by 1st visit. I didn't enjoy the dressing down, but especially since we took my Mom for lunch to celebrate Mother's Day (this was on...
