This is a great little Mexican/American restaurant. It is small, peaceful, casual and clean. They have booth seating and a very small bar. The menu is a good (but somewhat limited) variety of authentic Mexican food as well as some American foods. I don’t want to make it sound like you won’t be able to find something great to eat but just letting you know that the menu is less extensive than what I am used to. Ok moving along: the place is super cute and comfortable. I ordered the Red Rock hamburger which had a thick slice of ham, 2 thick strips of Bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onions. As per normal, it came with fries. Also I got a soda which they just bring u a can. So, the food was delicious and waitresses was accommodating. The prices are a bit high to me. I got two extra cans of soda to go and my bill was 19.00 without the tip. So, for a lunch, it’s more than I expected. Also, I know places have to be careful about COVID but when I was looking in the soda case to find what I wanted I thought I saw a jug of ice tea but the bottle was turned so I couldn’t see label. So I turned it around to see what it was and it was something else. Btw, they have soda in those old fashioned type bottles too but they are 2.50 each. But I mention that because I don’t see them often. ANYWAY getting to my point, I grabbed the two cans of Dr. Pepper. Waitress saw me go into the refrigerated case and she didn’t say not to do it. But when I got ready to pay her she asked me how many cans I touched. I only touched the 2 Dr. Peppers that I purchased plus turned that big bottle around to see it. BUT, it made me feel like she thought I was dirty. So, my suggestion is for them to lock the case (or move it behind bar) if they don’t want customers going into it. So the price and the soda comment and they way it was said —-those things are why I took stars off. I understand the obsession with sanitation and glad to know they are clean BUT don’t make...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this hidden gem thanks to a recommendation from one of my husband's friends—and wow, were we impressed! From the moment we walked in, the experience was nothing short of delightful. The staff exuded warmth and attentiveness, and the chef herself came out to discuss some customizations for my husband's dish. She offered thoughtful suggestions, and let me tell you—she absolutely nailed it.
Now, let’s talk about the food. The quesabirria tacos were bursting with flavor, perfectly textured, and paired with a consommé so rich and savory, it was pure magic in a bowl. My husband opted for a quesadilla made with their handmade corn tortillas, and it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Every bite was a celebration of fresh ingredients and skilled preparation.
As if that weren’t enough, the chef generously shared a new dish she was testing—on the house! It was bright, refreshing, and incredibly well-balanced, showcasing not only her creativity but her genuine passion for culinary innovation.
While we waited, we watched other dishes being served, and each one looked like a work of art. It’s clear that this team pours love and care into every plate—not just in flavor, but in presentation too. Everything was vibrant, crisp, and beautiful.
We’re thrilled to have found this spot (even if we wish we’d discovered it sooner!) and can’t wait to return. A huge thank you to the entire team for making our evening so memorable....
Read more+JMJ...Just finished lunch at Las Salsitas. It was a great dining experience. The young man who greeted my friend and I was the only staff available acting as the greeter, waitstaff, server, cashier, and I am certain he probably cleared the tables as well. He carried out all these duties with calm and purpose as he waited upon a nearly full restaurant of hungry customers! The restaurant itself is very clean, with stylish imitation wood covered tables, nice, plush booth seating. The walls looked a freshly painted pale blue featuring varnished wooden trim around the doors and along the ceiling. I am no interior designer, but I was impressed with the interior decorations. And, the unisex bathroom is amazing! Looks as if it had been newly remodeled. It is very large and has a changing table. As to the restaurant menu, they have a nice selection of Mexican and American dishes, which include breakfast selections, that can be ordered during their hours of operation: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. I ordered the Tortas and my friend ordered the Gorditas. My Tortas (1st one ever) was delicious with tender shredded beef served on soft bread that also had a layer of refried beans, lettuce, fresh chopped tomatoes, avocado, and mayo. This restaurant only recently opened. I hope that they are very successful. My next visit I am looking forward to a breakfast meal of their...
