Sometimes I hate writing reviews, especially when I deeply want to leave a positive review. Let's start on a high note... the restaurant is nuzzled in the 100 block here in Council Bluffs. The space itself is quant and charming. It has minimal decor with a running Italian theme. The tables are very small, not ideal for a larger group. There were 2 adults and 1 child in our group and the table quickly filled up completely between appetizer plates and main dishes. The staff had friendly demeanor, but seemed very overworked. It was not busy when we sat down to eat. Our waiter was fast with our drinks and bread. Sadly, the bread was plain and lacked flavor. There was a very strong language barrier, so the communication was limited regarding our order. He still managed to bring it out correctly. Unfortunately, he didnt bus our table once. We orderd meatballs, spinach dip and mozzarella sticks for appetizers and the meatballs were the highlight of our entire meal. The spinach dip was more of a soup, it didn't sit on a chip and dripped off without a struggle. I would classify it more in a soup category. We ordered starter salads and the Cesar was more of a dessert given how sweetened it was with sugar. My house salad was decent, the homemade ranch helped tremendously. We ordered kids Alfredo spaghetti and sadly this was also too sweet to eat. I ordered chicken Alfredo and it was OK but not better than the competitor. We also ordered the baked penne and this was also overly sweet. The majority of the food tasted as if it had been drowned in sugar.. not the ideal lunch we had hoped for. The kids Alfredo spaghetti and the penne were both tossed out and the only food we ate was the chicken Alfredo I ordered, which i was not impressed with. I want to state that I am hoping this review causes a stir and there can be positive that comes from this. The food was pretty and it looked delicious, it just severely missed the mark. First impressions are everything and this one was not good for us. Given that we spent over 100 dollars for 2 adults and 1 kiddo, we won't be returning, but I hope things get better as this town needs a new restaurant. All my fingers are crossed for...

It’s not that we didn’t try to, but the staff made NO ATTEMPT, whatsoever, to give us a chance to. This was our first and LAST visit to Napoli. This was a Thursday eve, we walked in and were seated right away at about 6:50 pm. Exactly 30 mins later we walked out the door without ever being asked if we’d like a drink or even a glass of water brought to us. Not one employee working the floor made eye contact with us or ever asked if we’d been helped. We watched as they waited other tables and brought out multiple orders for pick up. A few tables around us that were there before we arrived, had also still not been served their meals before we left. We did see one of the tables get a couple salads brought out to them, but no meals. Again, 30 mins. We are quite disappointed, as when we walked in, we were quite impressed with how nice the young guy was that seated us. We were impressed with how clean and quaint the environment was and how wonderful the place smelled. We were so looking forward to trying a couple of the seafood meals, instead, we were left with no choice, but to take our business elsewhere. Irony though, as we were leaving, 3 different employees thanked us for coming and hoped we had a quite night. We had to let each of them know that we had just sat there for 30 mins, and not one person offered to take our order or even offer a glass of water....
Read moreWe were impressed and will be back! Always looking to try new food around CB and (when we have to) in Omaha and after we saw the FooliganEats TikTok review had to try this cute new spot! Menu was varied and the food was great, my daughter even tried something other than her regular Alfredo, and loved the Primavera but got it with Fettucinni noodles, (so good!) I have been waiting to find another place with delicious Carbonara and found it here! (Served with a twist from how I've seen it, with black olives that were perfect in it, I replaced mushrooms with blistered tomatoes, MamaMia! it was creamy and cheesy and divine! Wine choices were nice and waitress (pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable but never hovering) recommended an excellent pairing and told us they will be making the selections even more extensive soon! They have a small patio, like many of the fine choices down the 100 block, and we can't wait to go back to when its nice...
