Hold on to your taste buds, my friend, because I'm about to whisk you away on a mouthwatering journey to The Porch—where pizza dreams come true and even the pizza gods can't resist a slice!
Let's talk about their legendary creation, the Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza. Oh, my cheesy goodness, this culinary masterpiece is a force to be reckoned with! The moment that piping hot pie made its grand entrance, I could practically hear angels singing (or maybe it was just my stomach growling with excitement).
The crust, my dear food connoisseur, was perfection. It had just the right amount of crispiness, like a symphony of crunch with each bite. And the toppings... oh, the toppings! They piled on juicy, succulent bacon that was so smoky and crispy, it could make a vegetarian question their life choices. The cheese was a melty, gooey blanket of joy, embracing the burger patties in a savory embrace.
Speaking of the burger patties, they were like little flavor bombs. I'm telling you, each bite transported me to burger paradise. The combination of the juicy beef, the tangy pickles, and the zesty sauce was a taste sensation that made my taste buds do a happy dance. I'm pretty sure my eyes rolled back in my head, and I momentarily ascended to a higher plane of pizza existence.
Now, let's address the supernatural part of this review—the pizza gods and your temporary demise. It doesn't surprise me one bit! The moment this divine pizza touched my lips, my taste buds went into sensory overload, and my mortal body couldn't handle the sheer deliciousness. But fear not, my friend, for even the pizza gods know that depriving you of such a heavenly experience would be a tragedy. They were like "I was making my way down south, passing cars, when we noticed you." They graced me with new life just so I could savor every bite and bask in the glory of The Porch's Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza.
In conclusion, The Porch is not just a restaurant; it's a portal to pizza paradise. Their Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza is a revelation that will make you question everything you thought you knew about the culinary arts. So, my fellow pizza enthusiasts, go forth, summon your appetite, and let The Porch transport you to a realm of flavor that will leave you begging for more. Just be sure to have a defibrillator nearby, because this pizza might just steal your...
Read moreSaw all the great reviews and made a stop while driving through for dinner. I’m sure it’s one of the better places to eat in town, but we had salt overload here. In the pickle fries especially, the tots, even the bacon tasted like they added salt! I had maybe 5-6 pickle fries before I couldn’t eat any more.
I will say the service was great. The server/bartender was the only person we saw working and she was friendly and quick. It seemed very busy with how many cars were in the lot, but maybe 3-4 tables of people inside. Everyone was out back behind the restaurant at the volleyball courts. I’d recommend sitting on the left side of the room as the back door (to the right) is opened and closed almost constantly. Bathrooms are also packed with people coming in from out back.
We ordered: pickle fries as a starter (came with ranch) - loved the breading, other than the overload of salt- it was similar to what we use on a fish fry with cornmeal. Also ordered the pulled pork mac n cheese - that was decent, but I didn’t think there was anything special about the mac itself. Some of the noodles weren’t coated in cheese sauce and the bbq sauce added most of the flavor. Pulled pork and fried onions were great, but again, very salty altogether in one bite. Also ordered avocado sandwich which was great - no complaints except the bacon was overly salty as stated before. The fried egg was a nice touch. Last food item was the crispy chicken salad. Nothing special, just iceberg lettuce with shredded cheese, tiny pieces of tomato, and breaded fried chicken. Their ranch was a little watery.
Only other thing I can comment on was the cocktail I ordered- a Moscow mule. When I ordered, I just went with well vodka as I’m not really much of a vodka drinker and typically go with cheaper liquor when mixing, but probably should’ve gone with Tito’s. It tasted weak/watery but still had some ginger beer flavor. Not really any lime flavor.
Overall, $75 before adding tip and not anything we’d be back for. We would however recommend the...
Read moreWe went there this week for lunch and lucky me it was happy hour. The place was pretty dead when we went in at 3:00. Happy hour in mon-fri from 3pm to 6pm. The drink prices are fairly cheap if you order off the happy hour menu. We'll drinks were 3.00 and beer was 2.50 from the tap. I ordered a budkight and .my hubby ordered a bloody mary which is not included on happy hour menu. We ordered some appetizers and were served fairly quickly I had the house party dip and my husband ordered the Buffalo wings. My party dip was on the happy hour menu so it was fairly cheap, however my husband's wings were not and were 20.00 for 12 wings. The food in my opinion was mediocre and the dip and chips were salty. It was suppose to have hamburger in but it seemed that very little was put in. The cheese queso like dip had an odd flavor to me but I was OK with it because it was only 7 bucks. My husband's wing were crispy but seemed that they were fried too long. If you like wings this place is disappointing in the flavor area the only choices are Buffalo, barbecue or a mix of bbq and Buffalo sauce. If you want wings go walk to salty dog they are just as expensive but have a better selection of sauces and in my opinion better flavor. If you want food at happy hour this menu is also disappointing as there are only 3 appetizers to choose from. I highly recommend going there if you are the mood for drinks but I'm not sure I would go there...
