Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Covington

I treated my mom and 3 kids to lunch 5/6/18 at this Covington Chili's and can't believe the level of disrespect my family received!!! We were seated quickly, our server was nice and very attentive (Tia) but our disrespect came from MANAGEMENT when a situation took place from another party. We had just received our meals and talking amongst ourselves when trash was thrown, hit my mother head and rolled on the table!!! Laughs, giggles and some comments were coming from the table that threw the trash( a messy napkin). I don't know what was in the napkin and certainly wasn't going to look. I notified my server and asked for the manager. I saw my server not once but 2x tell the manager that we were upset and needed to speak with him. This manager didn't budge, just stood there and then walked to the back. Instead, I can only assumed he sent out this female manager. She says to me, "well I don't understand what you want me to do'. Now if myself or anyone from my African American family threw trash at that Caucasian party we would have been asked to leave. If we didn't comply ,law enforcement wouldve been called and thrown us out for disturbing the peace!!! I asked the female manager why didn't the male manager come when notified twice?? She left and he came back only to give the same response as the female, what would you like for me to do? I'm sure you didn't make it up to managment by asking customers how to do your job. He was sure to give me my $77 bill at which I paid for with no hesitation, still left a tip because my server did her job. I didn't even finish my meal because once trash hit my mom's head I lost my appetite. I was more than baffled, my kids asking why would they do that and why are they laughing at us?!?! I'm not sure how this experience will play out in my 11yr old sons and 8yr old daughters head. Will they start to dislike Caucasians or fell intimidated, think that other races get special privileges?!!? Of course the answer from corporate would be ,we will send you a gift card. A gift card can't pay for my humiliation nor the looks, I saw on my kids face. My son was frighten to say the least!! Chili's needs to train management on how to deal with African American customers, our money is green and cards swipe just like Caucasian...

Dined here with my Mother for dinner after running last minute errands on November 22nd. We were seated promptly but waited 10 minutes before someone came by to take our drink and food order. It seemed as though the wait staff in the corner were drawing straws on who would take our table. Our waitress was Makayla and right out of the gate she had an attitude that she didn't want to work that evening. We placed our orders and I requested the coleslaw as my side which I've had many times at Chili's in the past. Makayla rudely informs me that they don't have that and they've never had that for as long as she's worked there. I smile and say "then why is it listed as a side on your menu?" This stumped her, and I did say that if they don't have the coleslaw that broccoli would be fine. She stalks off to the kitchen not even writing down our orders. She later comes back to inform me that they didn't reprint the menus when they updated their sides but they no longer have coleslaw. I say again that's fine, I'll have broccoli. Really didn't see the waitress again until the food came and we placed our to go order for another person who couldn't join us. Food was great. Had to ask for drink refills and butter for broccoli etc though. Later Makayla did come back around and we asked for to go boxes whenever she had the chance. Makayla rudely stomps up to the table, throws down the to go boxes, and then slams the credit card payment device on the table and rudely tells me to pay the bill. I was still chewing and just stared at her. I swallow and say "you mean now??" She just gives me an "Are you this stupid look?" So I start to fish my card out and she reads off the total and looks at me like I should just hand her my card. I just stare at her and say let me see the bill. She huffed as though I should just take her word for it, but did finally show me my bill. I wanted to give her a custom tip because she certainly didn't wait on us for the minimum preset value of 18% but felt coerced to give 18% because she was holding the payment device hostage. I will never ever return to this Chili's after this obscene behavior which is such a shame as the...

I was SOOO disappointed with my visit last night! I decided to splurge and get a steak this time! Well when it was brought to the table my first thought was how unappealing it was. It was so thin that the edges had curled up on itself and been burned. I went ahead and cut into it looking for the med rare I'd ordered and wasn't surprised to find out that it was too thin for that temp except for about three small bites worth! I figured I'd bite the bullet and eat it anyway as I was with others and we had somewhere to be in a little while. My first bite tasted a bit weird but I thought it might be due to it being a burnt edge so I cut into the small end that actually showed a BIT of pink. I couldn't even get it chewed due to the amount of gristle in it and the flavor wasn't any better! I immediately said screw this and called over the waitress. I explained about the steak, showing her exactly what was up with the meat and told her I'd rather just get my order replaced with something else entirely, because I was off put by the weird, gross, flavor of the meat as well as the condition of it, then chance just replacing the steak. Instead of just agreeing she had to get the manager. Luckily the manager understood my aversion to trying another steak and agreed, but it did still extend the wait. So anyway, I ordered the Smash Burger and the only exception I made was asking for no thousand Island dressing. I ended up getting my burger after everyone else had finished eating and on top of that there was no cheese nor lettuce on it!🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️😭🤬 The flavor was really good as far as the meat went and the fries were fresh, hot and crispy like normal as well. But needless to say I was just so disappointed overall!😭 I ended up quickly eating only half of my dinner as we had to rush out to a concert we were due at and then my food was stuck in the hot car and I don't think it's salvageable!😭 I did let the waitress know about the burger not having two of the condiments and stopped by to let the manager know as well. The manager just said oh well I'll let the server know!🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I think I'll be giving Chili's a break from my twice...
