Sports Page Steakhouse — Restaurant in Coweta

Since moving out to Coweta in 2015 we have been visiting Sports Page Steakhouse. The price is very reasonable and they have daily specials too. Most visits we are lucky enough to get sat immediately while other times we had a short wait. Everyone from the hostess, servers, and kitchen staff have always been friendly and accommodating.

We've never been disappointed with any of my meals I've had. The food is always served hot and with great flavor. Out of all the times we've been they have always cooked my steak to my liking, today's visit was no exception. Their grilled veggies are very good and I always look forward to ordering them as a side.

It has been seven plus years and we keep coming back. Between the value, friendliness, and good food we have no reason not to continue visiting.

I really hate to rate them . I dont want coweta businesses to look horrible but they seriously need some training on what to do when busy. It was a Saturday at 11:30am. Knew it looked busy from outside but didn't see the elder group packed in the back room till we got sat down...First off train them that customers need to be checked on for courtesy when they have been waiting 15+ for food. And to be aware of how long they have been waiting. Offer more bread or "sorry it's taking so long" whatever...something. I had to stop another waitress that was handling the large group to have her check on our food. Then when we got it... burger bun was toasted so much it was hard as can be and fries we're cold(cook needs to sample before plating it). I just think more on all parts could have been done. I had heard that this was a good place to grab a meal, well I heard wrong. Myself and my wife went in on a moderately busy night,stood at the host stand for ten minutes with half the tables empty. When someone finally came to seat us, the girl was so rude, never gave us menus to look at or offered us drinks and the table was filthy. Another girl came by and literally threw the silverware on the table without a word and then we sat there,and sat there,and sat there. Maybe it is a good place to have a meal, I wouldn't know we never got one,we got up and left. I was a restaurant manager for half my adult life and my wife is a bartender so I get it , folks get busy and it can be difficult to provide good service, especially if understaffed but that was not the case, these people were just plain rude.
