BEWARE! We arrived and were told to sit where we wanted. We picked a booth towards the back. The waitress wa nice and she took our drink order. She brought our drinks and left us to decide what to eat. We were looking at our menus when something crawled across our table. It was a cockroach. My sister in law killed it and we were looking for the waitress when she looked under the table and there was another one scurrying around. I stood up and grabbed my things disgusted. We left cash on the table for our untouched drinks and the waitress asked if we were already leaving. My sister in law Informed her of why we were leaving. The waitress said "we spray every 2 weeks and spot spray between." My sister in law stated she understood but we were going to leave and that there was cash on the table for our drinks. Again the waitress told us that they spray every 2 weeks and spot spray between those weeks. She then just looked at my sister in law and walked away. I was ready to get out of there. If I could give zero stars I would. If you are spraying for roaches that much you need to shut down and have a fumigation done. It...
Read moreBland food, poor service, long unnecessary wait time, unclear menu/specials, hidden charges. We waited 30 minutes after ordering a couple of simple sandwiches. The table was dirty and had to ask three times for it to be wiped clean. There was food on the floor beneath our chairs and several tables waiting to be cleared, though there were only two other parties there besides us when we arrived and the place was fairly empty. The food was nothing special, very bland, lukewarm fries. Child's grilled cheese was burnt. I saw a handwritten sign for shrimp and catfish, which I might have tried if we had been told.
They added a "convenience fee" for paying with anything other than cash - this policy was not posted anywhere other than the check when it arrived and we were not in any way advised of it before ordering and eating. The worst though, was the server hacking and coughing without covering her mouth as she was walking around the restaurant. Yuck! If I could give negative stars, I would give minus 10. We will definitely...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped over in Coweta, OK for one night. We found a online ad for “Marks Place” that looked like it would be a good spot for breakfast, since the motel where we stayed didn’t offer breakfast as they normally would because of the COVID virus. Boy were we right! The service was fast and pleasantly provided by a very nice young lady. The food was presented nicely in a timely fashion, and wow was it delicious. I had the “Breakfast Special” which consisted of; 1 egg, hash browns, your choice of meat, and either toast or a biscuit with cream gravy. Absolutely the best breakfast on-the-road that I can remember! (I had link sausages and biscuit & gravy.) My wife had the “Spanish Omelette” with home fries and toast, which she thoroughly enjoyed! We both give Mark’s Place 5 stars, and highly...
