Chan An — Restaurant in Crafton

I ordered food from this restaurant on doordash which I’ve done previously at least once before. I used the pickup option to save money on the delivery fee. When I arrived to pick up my order the old woman at the counter said “this is the last time you order, $10 minimum” which I was confused because it didn’t say anything on the doordash app about there being a minimum to order..

I told her this and she said “I don’t care, $10 minimum or you can go somewhere else” and she points out the window. Which I didn’t give any attitude towards her so I felt that her tone towards me was super rude and disrespectful especially when my order was literally $9.51 and they don’t have a $10 minimum on the doordash app so how was I supposed to know.

Anyways I asked her what the difference was between ordering my food on doordash pick up or calling in/coming in and ordering my food and she had absolutely nothing to say in return. Just a blank stare because she knew I poked a hole in her logic. I don’t know why she chose me to be rude to and try to put a $10 minimum on but miss me with that BS.

I would understand if the food was delicious and the kitchen in the back didn’t look like something chef Ramsey from Hell’s Kitchen wouldn’t immediately shut down because it would fail a health inspection but it’s not. It’s crusty musty food I pick up because of convenience. Do better for yourself and your stomach, don’t waste your money go somewhere better, with better quality food, and with better attitudes toward their...

This may not even be a real restaraunt. I made the mistake of ordering this "food" when I first moved to Crafton. I was filled with regret as soon as I was handed over my "food" in a Land o' Lakes box that I assume they fished out of the Giant Eagle dumpster. When I later ate this "food", it became clear that they could not have picked a more appropriate vessel than a dumpster box because it was absolute garbage. If I could rate it lower than 1 star, I would... -5 to be exact. Other terrible restaurants I gave 1 star don't deserve to be grouped in with the lazy, dirty, shameless proprietors of this hole.

I hope our local heath inspector got an extra large bribe to keep this trash bucket disguised as a Chinese...

Very average for the prices. Since I live in the neighborhood I thought I’d give it a try. Didn’t see any bad reviews so here’s mine. There were no veggies in the vegetable egg rolls except cabbage, and fried roll. Why no white rice?? The brown colored rice that came with my General Tso’s chicken sauce wasn’t too bad but would have preferred white rice which is only offered on the menu for extra $$. The tiny chicken pieces were buried in thick breading. The Chop Suey was slimy with tiny shrimp (my son’ll eat anything) he also got the dumplings 🥟 which had very little filling...
