Let me start by saying I usually go to this Dairy Queen before 5pm, when the staff seems awake, alert, and aware that customers exist. But this time? I made the bold choice of showing up at night. Big mistake. HUGE.
When we arrived, there were three people working behind the counter. Great! Hope! Maybe ice cream was in our near future! But no. We waited. And waited. After about 15 minutes, one of the workers mysteriously vanished like a magician performing the worldās slowest disappearing actāleaving just two people to ignore us full-time.
Then, to add drama to our dairy tragedy, a woman cut right in front of us like she was skipping the line at a theme park. The staff saw it. They looked us in the eye. And then... continued ignoring us as if we were invisible soft serve spirits haunting the counter.
We finally spoke upāāHi, we havenāt ordered yetāāand the response? āWeāre busy.ā Which is odd, because they were actively taking orders from the other side of the counter like we had wandered into the wrong timeline.
And the lids. Can someone explain the lid situation at Dairy Queen? Why do I have to beg for a lid like itās a rare, magical token? Just put the lid on the cup. My Blizzard does not need to freestyle all over my passenger seat.

I was in line for aprox 10 minutes and 4 people came into the line with no face masks and got served ! Also , Dairy Queen does not have any social distancing indicators on the floor . Now that it is an executive order to wear masks INSIDE and OUT , Dairy Queen should have a staff member outside monitoring the line , as well as NOT serve NOR let people with no face masks stay on line and put others at risk! ! NoW my health has put in great danger as well as my family members ! I am going to report this to the state and health inspectors ! She called out next customer over here and when I approached the window she slammed it shut. She told me I needed to wait to be called. It was very confusing. Then I asked to use Apple Pay which I have done before at that location and she said we donāt take mobile payments so weāre going to cancel your order right now. She then yelled CANCEL HER ORDER SHE DIDNT BRING THE RIGHT CARD. She did not give me time to find another solution. I then put my order on my friends card and she was annoyed that I asked her to actually make my order this time. She was extremely rude and made my DQ experience aggravating.
