Starbucks Coffee Company — Restaurant in Cranford

I never write bad reviews. But I have to make an exception in this case. Been to this store over 1,000 times, no exaggeration. It's my local store. Have gone 3 to 5 times a week since they first opened at this location. I’ve been to dozens of other SBUX over the years across the country and the UK. I have been using the app since first month it was launched. This is all to say I am a very valuabe customer to SBUX. Some comments about this store:

Staff never says hello, rarely says thank you. Of course they all know. I make a point to always say thank you, and smile. Clearly management does not train to customer friendliness.

Bathroom rarely cleaned. I have photos, too gross to share, across multiple days where the same unchnaged mess is present day after day.

Tables often sticky, crumbs on chairs.

Yesterday they closed the store at 12:30pm. No explanation anywhere, just a sign on the door: "we are closing today".

Two weeks ago I decided to mostly stop going - 95% boycott. Will go only if it's more convenient than other options, but will chose other places whenever possible. There are two other great cafes nearby. Realized it’s not worth spending over $1,000/year in a store that doesn’t say hello and thank you.

This location literally used-too be my favorite location to visit. After their remodeling the service has decreased tremendously. I have to wait an extra 10-15 minutes for my order than what my pickup time states. And I literally have watched my drink sit on the counter where they make them waiting while they're finishing up other drinks. Why am I waiting for my drink that is completed while other orders are being finished just so that it can be brought to pickup station together. I've literally visited 3 times just to keep giving this location another try because as stated this was my FAVORITE location to visit, just for it to be the same upsetting experience as the previous ones. Today will be my last time visiting this location. I would rather travel for a better experience and convenience than have to sit and wait extra time for my order....

The employees at this location are consistently very kind, attentive, and helpful. There are 2 things that prevent me from a higher rating: 1. They are almost always out of, or low on various food items. If you come anytime after 10am, expect to have very limited choices for sandwiches and pastries. 2. Theres seems to be a lot of unattended, rowdy children at this location regularly. The last time I was there, there was a group of about 6 or 7 middle school boys, who were staying long after they received their beverages, being very obnoxious and unpleasant. They blocked the doorways to leave, and were just very loud and immature! Not the fault of the location, but just an unfortunate event I have...
