GREAT place to eat!!! I have lately been checking out local diners..no matter what the internet says about best breakfast in town,,this is the place ..anything on the menu available any time they r open. Friendly staff. Been there numerous times and have never been dissapoined. The daily specials are great and Penny makes so much of their fair from scratch. Unlike other diners in town , the biscuits and gravy have actual flavor and are not like other bland, obviously from a mix, type mostly served elsewhere..there is actually some noticeable sausage in it. The only bad thing is that their sign isn't lit up so ppl know they r there. U can see open llit up sign if u look but ppl dont don't know they r there bc it dosnt say Alice's Restaurant and not visible in normal traffic. Sure hope they do well bc they deserve it. Very small available seating but being right there watching them...

But here's what hits the grill if you order the mushroom melt: a generous, 80/20, hand formed, groud chuck patty and a pile of fresh sliced mushrooms. Nothing canned. Nothing extruded at the factory. Alices is a great exaple of a place that wants you to love what you had to eat but would justifiably roll its eyes at anything approaching...
Read moreDo not sleep on this unique welcoming diner, when we approached, we were a little taken back by the outside eclectic hippie colorful outside exterior, the pictures on google must be a bit older. We went inside and it’s a very traditional diner style and and we were warmly welcomed by the staff. We had the potato soup, beef vegetable soup with grilled cheese. The homemade desserts were to die for. Chocolate pie and Pumpkin Pecan cobbler. The desserts are made in house every day, and the soups are also made in house. The grilled cheese on rye was fantastic. The price was even better. I was able to get a grilled cheese bowl of soup and a drink for under $10. That’s super unheard of. But what’s even better? The food was outstanding. I...
