Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Creve Coeur

On a recommendation, I looked forward to a tasty meal from Freddy's Creve Couer and stopped in recently. Upon walking in I made a quick observation that the dinning area was trashed. Ok, I was planning on carry out so I looked passed it. Once my order was placed I went to fill up my soda and walked passed the kitchen and order pickup counter where once again I observed how trashed those areas were. After I filled up my soda I reached for napkins only to find that the 2 dispensers were empty. I thought to myself, I hope the food is worth what Im forcing myself to already look past. While waiting for my food I could not help but continue to notice just how trashed the kitchen was...floors absolutely covered in food, counter tops where food was prepared looked as if they had not been wiped down in hours, and order pickup counter covered in old fries and debris. Like really, with the amount of employees in the restaurant at the time someone could not take 5 minutes to police these areas for not only cleanliness but safety of employees or customers slipping? Just as I was about to bring what I was witnessing to someones attention, finally an employee asked another to wipe down the order pickup counter but took it upon himself to do it. Would have been a satisfying effort to observe but the person with the same gloves he was already wearing to make burgers, wiped down the counters with his hands, and then proceeded to continue making food without so much as changing out his gloves. After 20 minutes of wait time for my food and observing the lack of cleanliness not being upheld, I immediately lost my appetite and cancelled my order asking for my money back. I will give this location the benefit of doubt and say, maybe it was an off night, but my first and last experience with this location was disgusting. If anyone had an allergen to note in their order, no way their food would have been prepared properly to avoid getting sick or worse from cross contamination. I genuinely dislike leaving negative reviews but the fact that management was not all over this themselves is terrible.....well, management. The service at this location is deplorable. Asked simply for fresh hot fries and get told by the “manager” nobody else complained about them, well did anyone else pay for my order?? He then, unknown manger that refused to give his name, continues to fuss and at that point, I said he is a poor example for everyone of the employees watching him, and I said with emphasis “ A POOR EXAMPLE”, he then begins to YELL, IF YOU CONTINUE TO YELL, YOU WONT GET A REFUND AND YOU CAN LEAVE, he was the ONLY person yelling, he is a big guy, guess he has the baby boy syndrome, that’s he he takes his position here to an extreme. I then walked around to the front counter and asked the cashier for a refund, he was trying to explain that he couldn’t do it, the the little manager comes around from the back and continues to say that if I keep yelling, he had been dismissed so why did he feel the need to come around front?? Guess he wanted to feel important, so the female manager that has watched all of this unfold, comes to issue a refund, she did not refund the correct amount and wanted to go back and forth and I had to show her how much the total was and she had to go back in the draw to get the additional money, she refused to give his name as well. Is this the normal way they treat customers or could it be because THE BLACK WOMAN wanted him to do his job and he felt some type of way about that. Poor service,...

Well I like to share my daughter' experience as a worker here she is constantly being harassed at this job now another parent and I had to speak to management a few months ago they called the police on us and the other parent child put in there two weeks notice that they were leaving I spoke with the manager Steve at the time told him my child's and my situation which was personal ask to speak with the general manager he lied and said that she wasn't there. I left came back to bring my daughter some lunch then witnessed the general manager still there. Since then it's still been constant harassment from this manager named Tony I would like to speak with someone else like the Area Supervisor or District Manager bc this has gone to far I've worked in the restaurant business for over 13 years as a manager and the procedures and things that they're doing at this facility at this restaurant are not right and I appreciate it if it gets looked into and someone gives me a call back immediately or give me a number send me a number where I can call the home office or the district because if I go into the store and ask for it they're not going to give it to me once they see who I am because my daughter is very out spoken and treats others the way that they treat her.
