Goodie's Cafe — Restaurant in Crofton

I will NEVER spend my money at this place ever again! I work in the area and went there 3 times. Today I asked to have salt, pepper, ketchup, and mumble sauce on my fries. He said they put it on the side. I said ok but was curious as to why. He begin saying to me " do you go to McDonald's, or Chic fi la and ask them to do that?" I then backed away as I saw it was going another route. He basically got offended and thought I asked because he was Chinese. Most carry outs do place the condiments on the fries. So now we're going back n forth. I had paid for my food and told him no worries..I will not come back. He then chooses to give me my money back. The argument is still going on and Im offended because he kept repeating that I chose to ask him that because he is chinese. So now he is insinuating that I was being racist. If that was the case, I would not have stepped foot in there the many times that I purchased food. The guy came from the back to settle things down and made sure I received my refund receipt to assure I got my money. That's when he decided to get bolder! The guy from the back put his arm inbetween us like we was gonna fight...he told the guy no.. as if he was ready to fight me. I always delt with a female, this guy must of been the owner or manager as he was bold enough to create the toxic debate. Please be aware of the guy with a basic hair cut, glasses, and about 5'11 stature. I refused to describe him as chinese because that would mean that I am "racist". I have never been to a carry out that took ..salt/pepper/ketchup/mumble sauce ON the fries as a racist food request.

Replying to the owner's response as I am unable to. You came to look for the review because of guilt. You painted yourself very nicely as you created this entire fabricated story. I never questioned you 3 times nor did you respond with the " professional guideline standards " as you stated. You lost every bit of your customer service act once you insulted me with a comparison of McDonald's or Chic fi la request. You insulted me as to say that your establishment isn't a ghetto location and you do not service such requests. Im sure you have cameras in your restaurant and it will show me backing away from your insult. So because I told you that I wouldn't be back once I receive my food, you then TOLD me that you won't serve me and gave me my electronic refund. The word "offer" my refund sounds too professional. Ordered orange chicken, requested sauce on side, the woman on the phone told me they can’t put sauce on side, okay fine. Ordered Won Ton soup and tiramisu, when the food arrived the orange chicken sauce tasted like flowers (expected, why I asked for sauce on side) went to stick my fork into the cake it was frozen solid. I called to either have it replaced or something done, the woman told me to microwave it or wait for it to defrost.. I order food just to have to wait for it to defrost so I can’t eat it when it gets here? And I told her that and all she had to say was “what do you expect me to do?”. Very sassy, not good customer service. When asked to just bring another cake WARM and I can return the cold one she said it would take two hours when it took 15 minutes for me to get my food.. confusing when I live .3 of a mile from the store and got mine so quickly and within 5 minutes I call back and it’s a two hour wait?? Ridiculous. Hoping for this to be corrected.

I recently visited Goodies carryout in Crofton MD on Route 3 and I have to say, this is not my first or second visit and it won’t be my last. This is one of those hidden gems that offer both a Chinese and American food menu, which is perfect for those who want to try something new or stick with their favorite dishes.

My personal favorite dish at Goodies carryout is the veggie lo mein and salt and pepper shrimp. The lo mein has a great mix of vegetables that adds a lot of flavor and texture to the dish. The salt and pepper shrimp was also delicious, with just the right amount of spice and seasoning.
