OMFG was my breakfast sandwich terrific! And it was very reasonably priced to boot.
I'm a born and bred New Yorker, am particular and critical when it comes to places around the country that advertise themselves as "New York" style or whatever, and Cappo's is the real deal.
When I die and go to Heaven 🤞 if there are no breakfast sandwiches...well, there are going to be words!
I stumbled upon the place when I was in the area, so first time in. I had a sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel and they didn't just hit it out of the park, they obliterated the ball - it vaporized and possibly created a black hole. You think I'm kidding? Try it, you'll see.
I didn't know someone could become a regular after only one visit, but we're going to be good friends!
Bonus points: the cook was talking to the young lady behind the counter and griping about places that don't boil the bagels before baking them. My people! A bagel that isn't boiled first isn't a bagel, it's bread, and as far as I'm concerned it's fraud and there should be time spent in jail for it.
Edit: Today I had the eggplant parmigiana lunch special, and again, very reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Photos are before and after. I would've licked it clean if there weren't other people...

Cappos Italian Deli - A Masterpiece Between Bread
This sandwich from Cappos Italian Deli is an absolute showstopper. From the first glance, you know you're in for something special. The bread is perfectly baked—crispy on the outside, soft and airy inside. Stacked high with layers of savory salami, spicy pepperoni, and tender turkey, every bite delivers bold flavor and serious satisfaction.
The shredded lettuce and juicy tomato are fresh and crisp, adding the perfect contrast to the richness of the meats and creamy mayo. It’s all held together with that signature deli-style paper wrap, just the way a proper Italian sandwich should be.
Cappos doesn’t cut corners—this is quality, craftsmanship, and flavor packed into one beautifully balanced bite. Easily one of the best sandwiches I've had. If you're anywhere near Cappos Italian Deli, do yourself a favor and get this sandwich. 🔥🥪
Inside tip: Get the sesame seed bread, it's shipped in directly from New York.
P.S. The large sandwich is around 24" long. Be prepared for some seriously...
Read moreI read on Facebook Cappo's was opening, so I decided to go by and try them out. My sister went in and grabbed a bagel for her and a lox bagel for me. The staff who took her order was very friendly and courteous. She asked for blueberry cream cheese on her bagel. The bagel was toasted just right, and cream cheese tasted like it was made with fresh blueberries. I got the lox bagel sandwich on an everything bagel. The cream cheese they use is really good. There were plenty of slices of lox, and they use fresh dill in the sandwich. It comes with red onions and capers as well, but the fresh dill is what really makes it stand out. Not too much to overpower the other flavors, but rather just enough to compliment them. Since it was day one, things seemed a little slow, however everything was made fresh. Prices were very modest and fair (lox bagels typically go for $12 or more in my experience). Overall a nice experience. I'll definitely be...
