How do I even begin my review

First time as a patron and I was excited to explore what the beautiful island of Culebra had to offer. Upon entry we were greeted by a very kind young man who instructed us to wait as our table was being prepared. No problem. After a few minutes we were led to our table by our waitress and this is where the experience went sour for me. She approached our table with attitude and annoyed as though she was upset for servicing us, as though we were BOTHERING her. No one ever told us to order from the menu in the front, so we wasted 15 minutes waiting around. After getting over that confusion she began to take our drink order and appetizers but proceeded to walk away in the MIDDLE of us ordering. I’m starting to think this child of a woman has no manners and was poorly trained. She came back after AWHILE to take our main dish order, this is where I spoke up to let her know to take all our orders down because I didn’t want to bother her any longer and to help make it easier for her seeing how she probably gets lost on the way to the kitchen by the way she takes so long to come back. There were only three other tables there and she had no problem attending to them and being kind to them. I started to sense she was mistreating us with her passive aggressiveness because we were not Hispanic. Because how dare other people come into a place of business expecting the bare minimum. She gave us 3 napkins for a party of 8. I had to wave her down to give us more napkins, maybe she can’t see well or can’t count well enough or she lacked basic decency. I just know she was intentional in her rude behavior because she had no problem being polite to the other tables.

Another incident was when we asked for a straw, but she reacted rudely as though we had asked her for her kidney. Overall waitress was rude, obnoxious and passive aggressive. I realized when I gave her the same attitude in return, she didn’t respond well to me. If you think you can go around mistreating others because you’re having a bad day or you’re unhappy because you hate your life, then maybe find another job otherwise what is your purpose of being rude to others who were nothing but pleasant!

Food was amazing!!! 10/10 some of the best tacos I’ve had but I cannot say the same about our waitress. I wish this restaurant nothing but success, as for waitress, good luck in...

Sorry, we really wanted to like Zacos Tacos. Been waiting for them to reopen for a few years, but somehow it’s not working. The servers seem quite inexperienced and were way too focused (even pushy) on getting us to order. No introduction, no description of the menu or where to find it. We put in a drink order to buy some time, but 5 minutes later she still wanted a food order. Meanwhile some odd annoyances that I only mention because they kept appearing. The metal mesh chair I was in had a rather prominent (almost 1/2”) upwards bent metal spike making a hole in my pants . I switched chairs and pointed it out… “Oh sorry” but server did not move chair aside for repair. Overhead fan was on high and a bit chilly… “oh sorry we can’t change that”. Water ordered was not delivered; not a huge deal just take it off the bill. OK sorry. Bill appeared with the charge for the water bottle anyway. Oh sorry forgot. We’re closing, you need to leave (it’s only 9, your site says open till 9:30?… oh sorry). While paying the bill in a hurry because they were closing, they cleared my unfinished drink… “oh sorry”. On the positive side, the vibe was pretty cool, and the bartender very nice (offered to switch out a drink that was way too tart, although I had to walk over to the bar to do so). Unfortunately mixed reviews for the tacos as well. The three of us shared the tacos de carnitas (pork) and the tacos de asadas (beef). The carnitas were great; tasty, nice sauce, nicely cooked. The asados were dry and a bit overcooked to our preference. Several of these issues could be overlooked but the server attitude in light of all this shows a lack of attention of management to customer service. Sorry, we won’t be...

Bad, unfortunately, as we were excited to go here. Unfriendly service, TINY portions, items not in food, attempts to charge for food not ordered, fly in drink.. First they didn’t have tofu, which is understandable as the menu we looked at was old on yelp. Then the margarita came out with a fly in the top.. it happens, we did get a replacement but no apology.

Then I got the nachos which were abysmal as nachos. We saw in the kitchen the recipe as we walked out.. it is literally just meat, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Not only bland but I paid $7 extra for the steak on top of the nachos and it was only about 10 maybe half inch cubes of steak. It was almost nothing and I don’t eat much. Then the extra $4 on the nachos for the pico, sour cream, guacamole. There was maybe a tablespoon of each, not nearly enough for a plate of nachos. $2.50/3.50 extra for another tiny sauce cup of each.

Then, the service. Our server felt like she belonged in Manhattan rather than an island in Puerto Rico. Very standoffish from the start, clearly unhappy to be there, and couldn’t care less that we were unhappy. She came out with the check and tried to charge for an extra we never ordered.

The ironic part is that I laughed at the note on the sign at the front when we walked in “difficult customer quota has been reached. If you think you might be one turn around.”

I hate leaving bad reviews or complaining! I rarely do it! I didn’t have high standards for this place but cmon. To be fair, the boyfriend liked the burrito! Which was supposed to come with guacamole on it - which it...
