This is my favorite Chinese food in Cullman. I order take-out semi often, ordering over the phone is easy and I can tell when the woman at the restaurant answers VS an answering service. I prefer the woman who works at the restaurant. Phone calls take about 30 seconds, am I given an estimated time or a total? No. But they also don’t take my name or number, and yet every time I show up a few minutes later and my food is hot and ready. The food is always delicious, I’ve tried a variety of the menu options and haven’t found anything bad yet. I love the General Tso’s Chicken combo platter, and the vegetable Lo Mein! They will give you a lot of food for a very good price. The store itself is clean, and I appreciate that it feels family owned, and friendly, and not like it’s trying to be “trendy.” Rice and Soy is here to give you good food at a good price, nothing more. She didn't cancel the order we changed for our son. When I pointed out the error to her, she suddenly began to forget how to speak English, and walked away into the back of the restaurant, and acted like I was asking about my last order being ready. She brought it to me, and said something in Chinese, and walked away. I compared our ticket to the prices in the menu, and it was $10 higher than every item, even sauces and substitutions added up to on the menu. ... and obviously a...
Read moreThis is a great Chinese take out restaurant. It is clean, and the family that ownes it does all they can to put out great food. There are a few tables to dine in if you choose to, but it is not an eat at location. We order ahead, and it is always ready in fifteen minutes. I usually get the Mongolian beef. However, this time, we both ordered the Szechuan Beef, and it was very good. They pack in very nice plastic containers, and the portions are huge. It is all that you can eat for one meal. It comes with fried rice and a spring roll or soup. All of this for just $10.45. It's definitely our choice for...
