It has been months since I actually bought a sandwich here. For several weeks, they were out of spinach everytime I went there, and sometimes green peppers too (this place taught me to visually verify that they have the toppings I want before ordering). They blamed it on supply chain issues. No other local Subways were having this problem during any of my visits.
Then on one of my visits, I noticed a subpar health department inspection score below 85 (anything below 85 in Alabama is not considered to be in satisfactory compliance and requires a follow-up inspection within 60 days). For the longest time, their score had been 95 or better. But I do not eat at establishments if I notice a score of less than 85, so I stayed away from this place for about 3 months hoping this would be plenty of time to resolve this issue.
Tonight I returned. Inspection score of 90...check. A visual verification that all toppings I wanted were in stock....check. Ok, let's get a sandwich. At checkout, when I presented my coupon for a footlong for $6.99, I was told they don't accept coupons. I asked if there was some notification posted to this effect that I might have overlooked. Read moreI only wish I did not have to give one star to rate this place. The rudest person I have come across in a long time. I found out later it was the owners wife. I deliver for door dash. My customers order and pay in advance. I stood in line waiting while she waited on 2 people. When it was my time. I told her I was there to pick up order for Jane Doe, (not real name). She told me she couldn't make it. I ask why. She responded that she had real customers in line she had to wait on. I told her my customer was a real customer. She started yelling and continued to yell while making the people in line behind me orders. Saying she had to wait on all them first. I called my support and they tried to call her she would not answer the phone. My support could hear her and ask if I felt threatened. I kind of did. It is their chose to take DoorDash orders. Read moreI usually get good service and food here, but I ordered online from here for the first time ever. I accidently canceled the order, which was my fault, so I reordered and that was fine. When my food got to me though, I was terribly disappointed. My bread looked mangled and there wasn't much in the way of meat. I did not my extra olives nor my extra parm cheese and did not get my roasted garlic aioli sauce at all. I realize it was a bogo deal, but if the food is going to be of such poor quality because of using a coupon deal, why bother offering or accepting such a coupon in the first place?
