One of the gems of our Burrito & Cupcake girls’ weekend. Burrito says this is a cute little drinking place with really good pizza. The pizza is surprisingly good and exceeded expectations. Burrito had the bacon and arugula pizza 😍. It was everything Burrito hoped for and more. From the thin and crispy crust to the ricotta cheese, to the bacon, through the feel good arugula, and finishing with the balsamic drizzle. I could almost almost convince myself this was healthy because of the arugula coverage. The pepperoni and mushroom pizza was solid as well. Although, the bacon and arugula pizza was the star of the show. The pretzel bites with beer cheese that are talked up highly on the menu, were a bit of a disappointment in actuality. Really because of the cheese sauce. There needed to be more cheese sauce, served at a hotter temperature, and served in a ceramic bowl or some kind of ramekin versus the little plastic k cup. Improvements could be made. The mugs that hang from the ceiling are very cool and aesthetically pleasing. The deal is you pay $200 and get a mug for life. The mug holds more ounces than the largest pour into a regular glass. However, they only charge mug holders, for the largest pour thereby they essentially get free ounces with every pour. It seems like a neat concept if you are a local and you like to drink and eat pizza. The service could have been a little warmer and more friendly for first timers, but we would still go again - mainly...
Read moreWe wanted a quick lunch out and had some recommendations to try Far Gohn based on the beer as well as the pizza.
The pizza decision was the toughest, but we split the 12" meat lovers. Usually I'm not one for a loaded meat pizza, but this was great. The crust barely held up and needed a little fold, but was cooked really well and close to the pizza I grew up with in NJ.
I had what was closest to a beer... the lemon radler. Admittedly I enjoy sweet, and I think this was a perfect balance of just sweet and lemon-y enough without feeling like I had a lemonade. My wife had the berry cider, which was also on the JUST slightly sweet side. I'm not a dry cider person and I would have ordered one of those as well.
We'll definitely head back and need to check out some of...
Read moreI was a fan of Far Gohn until the way they handled overcharging us for 2 extra beers. My fiancé has been a loyal customer of Far Gohn since they opened. The next time we went in after being overcharged (approximately 1 month later) and let them know they overcharged us and asked them to not charge us for 2 beers that day, Alicia told us “it was too long ago”, even though she admitted to knowing the day we were last in and who we were with the last time. When we told her we simply haven’t been in since so we no longer live in the area she told us we should have called and she couldn’t help us now. Terrible customer service period, especially to a...
