When they say on a street corner they really mean on a street corner. The front door is a little oddly placed, but once that opens you're a little shocked to see a bouncer. Whoa cheers never had a bouncer. Sorry for that jump. I'm likening Alibi to Cheers, the local hangout from that 80's show with the same name. My god friends like right up the way so for them and soon to be me this will be the go to. If you know me by now I may call this Omti's of West LA. I'm quite impressed at the atmosphere, the juke box had some fresh mixes. Dim lit, but not overly dark. Booths and sconce lighting. Vape friendly. Old school fountain tap's since the bar is circular they have no wall to mount them to. Well put together beer, wine and food menu. I got the feeling the owner is German due to the heavy European/German beer count. Quite a bit of micro craft brews, all very eclectic. I hadn't had about 3-4. Despite being somewhat hungry we passed on the food. It's rated and looked good though. Next time as we had food trucks to chase. Beers were decent prices 6-8 considering the variety.
People don't seem to realize that Kogi is Korean for "meat" so Kogi beef is "meat beef". Doesn't sound so appetizing now does it. Still a great selling point throwing in some ethnic sounding name they appear to be tapping into the food truck game a bit here with the taco's and whatnot.
I didn't venture outside, but I believe I saw the flicker of a firepit. Didn't break the seal either so no word on the restrooms. Service was pretty good with a dedicated bar back. Bartender took care of when she could, waited maybe a minute or two, tops. It was actually kind of loud for a lounge, which made me think it's more bar but their hours are more lounge. I'll have to come back again with specific intention to check out the rest of it, but I'm a big...

Stepping into The Alabi Room in LA feels like being teleported into an 80s arcade, minus the sticky joysticks and quarters clinking in your pocket. The retro vibe is strong, but nothing prepared me for their Pac-Man burrito, a culinary masterpiece that even Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde would chase after.
As I unwrapped the burrito, it looked like it could chomp through any maze. This thing was massive—so hefty that it could double as a free weight. Taking my first bite, I immediately understood why Pac-Man was always munching away. The flavors hit me like a power pellet: spicy, savory, and with a cheesy finish that made my taste buds do a victory lap.
Inside, it was packed with a colorful array of ingredients that seemed to pop out like bonus fruits in the game: tender chicken, zesty salsa, creamy guac, and enough beans to fuel a marathon of Pac-Man marathons. Every bite was a new level of flavor, with spicy jalapeños ghosting through the mix and crunchy lettuce adding a satisfying crunch.
Halfway through, I had to take a break. I felt like Pac-Man after clearing a maze, needing to catch my breath before diving back in. The burrito was relentless, and I started to wonder if I'd end up with a food coma that rivaled a Pac-Man game over screen.
By the time I reached the end, I felt like a champion. The Pac-Man burrito had been a formidable opponent, but I came out victorious (though a bit more stuffed than I'd anticipated).
If you find yourself at The Alabi Room, gear up and bring your appetite. The Pac-Man burrito is not just a meal—it's an adventure. Just be warned: it might have you seeing pellets and ghosts by the time you're...

Upon entering, this place looked really small but there's plenty of seating around the bar area and it actually felt really cozy huddled around my friends. We waited a bit and got a table next to the fireplace with really comfy seating.
The drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) were absolutely delicious! They even have a drink named after Breaking Bad, one of my all time favorite TV shows! My friend ordered this drink and i had a sip of it and I must say, it was quite tasty with an interesting hint of spiciness! For the non-alcoholic drinks, we ordered the ginger beer and that really blew me away. I usually don't like ginger but there was only a hint of it in this drink, and it was really refreshing. For the food we ordered combo Kogi tacos with chicken, and short ribs. They were both tasty and flavorful and we gobbled them up pretty quick. The best part was that we didn't have to wait in a one hour line outside a food truck for these tacos! We also actually had an order of fries which they forgot to write down so they gave us an extra order of Kogi pork tacos as a free replacement.
Our only complaint about this place is with one of the bartenders at the bar. My friends were waiting there for awhile and they said they felt ignored when they tried to place their orders. To be fair they did seem a little understaffed at the time, but customer service could be improved.
Tip* There's a small parking lot but plenty of street...
