Häsi Bread has the most delicious, even iconic, breads and pastries. Their wild fermented sourdough - with gorgeous blue butterfly pea flower and turmeric root! - is an extraordinary thing, honestly a work of art and seriously delicious. They have a variety of wonderful breads, all special and mouth watering, and their chocolate chip cookies are ridiculously good. Another awesome thing is that the people here are exceptionally personable, knowledgeable, and easy going, too. Matias, the charismatic founder and owner, has done an outstanding job creating a one of a kind bakery and cafe, which always has the nicest people helping you out (today, for example, Jorge and Daniel were the greatest!) You might come here for the fantastic bread, but then you inevitably have an unusually positive experience interacting with the people as well. Read moreI am a long time supporter and bought the breads, the cookies and now the additional creative pastries from Hasi. their product is superior, their ingredients and craft are top notch, that is why they COST more than average. If you feel they cost more than what you are willing to pay, thats fine... it is your right. I feel like in writing this review, people who are willing to pay for the quality, the care and the delicious items from Hasi are getting their VALUE. I will continue to support this small, family run business as they have proven, over the years, they are reinvesting into their product and the community and I think above all else, they produce delicious things.
as a bonus, I also tested their too good to go bags, I was in the area and received well over $24...
