Monroe Place is a neighborhood sandwich shop that excels in making signature, gourmet sandwiches. Their sandwiches are meticulously put together with the best quality and freshest ingredients. Alex and Sara have used their Culinary Expertise to create a very special menu. Court Street: The horseradish complements the roast beef perfectly, the arugula and crispy shallots blend in immediately with a special baguette from out of thin air bakery. A very awesome sandwich. Serenity Now: The spicy Serrano spread with cucumber/red onion salad, really stands out with the feta cheese, and exquisite bub and grandma's focaccia bread. It is a very balanced and satisfying sandwich. The Big Bambino: The buttery taste of the Burrato combines with the tomato confit to complement with the soppresseta and honey. This sandwich was very rich and creamy, and the baguette was from out of thin air bakery. WLF: is a combination of flavorful ingredients on dub and grandma's focaccia bread. I think that barberries and crispy shallots add to the unique flavor of this sandwich. I feel that by layering certain ingredients on the sandwiches help to balance flavors and textures. The attention to detail of Monroe Place and stellar, customer service are both noticeable as you walk in the door. Monroe Place is truly a Class Act, the cleanliness of this shop was immaculate. If you're in Culver City and you crave heavenly sandwiches, Monroe Place is your final...
Read moreReally amazing sandwiches. They have a lot of great options and the sizes are perfect. Iâm a huge fan of Bub & Grandmaâs so I was happy to see they carry their bread for some of the sandwich options. Yesterday was my first time trying Monroe but it wonât be my last.
We tried two of their sandwiches. The Court St, which is roast beef on a roll, and honestly, I really loved it. The London Broil was delicious as well as the rest the sandwich. I added avocado and manchego cheese, which I think made the perfect combination. We also tried the Serenity Now, partly because we are both Seinfeld fans, and because it comes on Bub & Grandmaâs bread. It was also very good, and we added avocado to that as well, which I highly recommend.
Overall great sandwiches and I would definitely...
Read moreFirst time visit. Came by at 3:10pm on a day (Friday) supposed to close at 4pm. Already closed. Sign said sold out. (Geez, of everything?!). Update (before saw initial reply from owner): Came by again the next day (Saturday), this time around 1:35pm. Was again closed early (this time sign said specifically they were sold out of bread.) Must just just missed the "sold out", because two couples were still eating at two tables (one outside). If there's ever a 3rd visit, I'll probably call the order in before arriving. I wish they were open on Sundays or later on Saturdays. Those of us who live nearby, but work further away M-F, still want to support our local businesses. But it's a tough industry, so...
