I came out from working16 hours in nursing in Santa Monica. My husband wanted to have nice breakfast with me. We did order nice good food. My husband was in middle of enjoying his food when he found hair in the rice. I feel bad with my husband that he loose his appetite due to unsanitized food that contain hair. He called the waitress and told her what he found in his rice. They were talking in Spanish. I’m not 100% sure about there discussion. I saw how my husband hold his temper and talking nicely to waitress. I asked him what happen. He told me that only she said is they will review the camera. This is so preposterous! She was impliedly saying to my husband that we intentionally put the hair on the plate that she wouldn’t dare that camera was facing toward my husband table, they will know instant that there is anomaly happen because the camera was facing my husband. What the nerve waitress and this restaurant management. Even my husband told her that 100$ bill is not problem to pay. He even care of the cook not to punished her for incident. I told to my husband that we should never going back to this place. The first and the last time. I can define that this place in my language “ Baboy” means pig. Unsantised food on top of that absurd waitress that cannot pass good moral character toward their customer in handling situation like this. I should give zero and report them to public health safety food...
Read moreI visit this establishment September 1st. This is the worst experience I've had in all my many years of dining out. First thing first there was no hostess no one to greet you. My boyfriend and I sat our self.. no biggie. They waiter came over within 5 minutes of us sitting down however she did not speak English, my boyfriend is bilingual so he was able to communicate with her what we wanted. We sat there for about 20 minutes and not even water and chips and salsa arrived. We notice a few times the waiter coming from the back with nothing in her hand. The restaurant was not busy as it was early in the evening and when we arrived they were only three tables occupied. I would be more forgiven and understanding if the restaurant was at capacity. It took exactly 30 minutes from the time we sat down for the entree to arrive 35 minutes for our drinks to arrive and exactly 40 minutes and chips and salsa showed up. The waiter came out once from the time we place our order to hug a customer. Bartender standing behind the bar not making any drinks. The waiter never came back to check on us nor did anyone else. The water nor jalapenos never arrived which we placed at the same time with entree. We had to get up to go get our own check. I would not...
Read moreTried this placed out with a group of friends.
We have never been here before and we get together and eat out often so we tried a bunch of things.
Everyone seemed to like the pupusas and agreed that the service was a little strange, to pretty terrible. The music was very loud for 630pm dinner.
The waitress didnt want to walk to my end of the table so she would hand someone my drinks or plate and they would pass the down the line until they finally were handed to me. She also took my order by asking my friend what i wanted....
My wife and I ordered the pupusas, a hen tamale and mixed fajitas (Shrimp, chicken, carne). Pupusas were ok. Tamales were boiling hot (not spicy), and complete mush with little flavor.
Fajitas were a big pile of flavorless meat, no tortillas and an extra plate of rice and beans. I like a bit of spice and flavor in my food and this plate was just cooked meat.
This place is great for loud latin music and pupusas. By some of the ratings this place seems like it would be a cool latin club but when we were there no one was dancing and we were just there to...
