I will tell you my experience and let you be the judge. I used points from a frequent shopper program to get a Cocos coupon for buy one get one entree free. I looked at the menu on their website and decided I would enjoy trying their Seafood dish. My wife also looked at their menu online and chose her dish. We invited some friends to join us and headed out for our fun evening. We presented the coupon to the waitress before we placed our order and she said she would have to check its validity with her manager. A few minutes later she came back and apologized because her manager told her they would only honor the coupon toward for a free appetizer. As we went back to the menu to choose an appetizer we noticed the prices on the menu were a couple of dollars higher than the prices on the website. We placed our order and about 10 minutes later the waitress came back and said that the chef lost her order ticket so she needed us to repeat our order. During our table talk I found out that my friend had never tried Cafe Con Leche so I ordered one for him and myself. About 20 minutes later our appetizer arrived but still no coffee. The appetizer was flavorful but a mess to share around the table because they gave us no plates. About two minutes after the appetizer arrived two of the four entrees were delivered to the table. About five minutes later the other two entrees arrived but still no coffee. The waitress commented that our coffee was coming and that it was "on her." The flavor of the food was good and portions were medium sized. As the last person in our party finished their food one of the two coffees arrived. About five minutes later the second coffee was delivered to the table. We told the waitress we were ready to pay and our bills were delivered to the table in a standard amount of time. However my bill reflected the cost of the appetizer. The waitress recognized it at the same time I did and offered to take the bill back and recalculate. What is...

I'll start with the positive. The food here won't make you gag. It won't make you say "wow" either, but at least it won't make you vomit. The food here is extremely average, and is among the worst Cuban food I've had. If this had been my first time having Cuban food, I'd probably leave here thinking I don't care for Cuban food (and I love Cuban food). That should give you an idea of how "meh" the food here is.
Now for the negative. The service here is the epitome of mediocrity. The server butchered my order and brought me something completely different from what I ordered. I'd already had to wait almost 30 minutes for my food, only for it to be something other than what I ordered. I then had to wait another 30 minutes for my food to be corrected. All in all, I waited around an hour to receive what I ordered. To add insult to injury, the server gave me a bit of attitude about it, as if it were my fault she got the order wrong. Then there was my girlfriend's food... She was brought her food without the side of fried plantations she ordered. She reminded the server of the plantains, and the server came back with plantains that were clearly heated up in the pan for a few seconds, just before they rushed them out (they were barely even browned). When my girlfriend pointed this out and asked for them to be actually fried, the server got an attitude, took them to the cook, who then started to speak very rudely (and loudly) about the situation. While eating, I couldn't get my water refilled until the end, and even then she just brought out room temperature water, and offered no ice at all.
I do NOT recommended this restaurant at all. There are much better places to get Cuban cuisine, where the food is better and the service is better. Pass...
Read moreOK so I'm not one to EVER post negative stuff but I truly feel everyone needs to know this! My husband, son, and I ate lunch at CoCos Cuban restaurant in Cumming. We placed our order and I had ordered 2 empanadas for an appetizer. Shortly after placing our order, the waiter brought an empanada to the table next to us. After a few minutes, the waiter went back the customer's table and took the empanada off of the table next, who had sent it back because it was the wrong meat. The waiter walked back to the kitchen with the empanada, was gone for about 2 minutes, and then came to our table with the EXACT empanada that he had just taken off of the other table. I did not realize it immediately but once i went to go eat it I knew it was that one because the other customers had cut open the side of the empanada. Before I could say something to the waiter, he then brought out another empanada and laid it on the other customer's table. They then called the waiter back and told them it was the wrong item again. The waiter picked up the food item and brought it to our table and laid it down. I immediately confronted him about it. He admitted that the first empanada was the same empanada that was given to the other customers but that the owner recooked it before bringing it back to our table so he said it was fine to eat. What??? Who does this and think its OK?? Needless to say we did not eat our lunch. The owner refused to comp the entire bill... only removed the empanadas and my sandwich. I am highly disappointed because we always loved this restaurant but we will never be back again. (Oh and all of this was after waiting 30 minutes to even get our drink...
