Miller's Ale House — Restaurant in Cumming

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the experience was not that great. We went on a Saturday around 4 PM. There was no wait so we got seated fairly quickly. The place was not super busy. Our server was attentive.

We had the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer. The first batch that came out was Lukewarm and did not taste very fresh. We brought that to our servers attention. The second batch that came out was hot however did not have much flavor. We ended up adding pepper to it to give it something. This appetizer definitely lacked in flavor. I do not recommend it nor will I order it again if I return.

We ordered the cheeseburgers, basically the classic hamburger with cheese. It was Superb. The meat had so much flavor.. I like my burgers well done, and this did not disappoint. The burger was cooked to perfection and still remained juicy. The fries on the other hand were cold and stale. Very disappointing indeed. Their fries if cold are not edible in my humble opinion. We did bring the fact that the fries were cold to the servers attention and the manager brought us new hot fries and they were good. we did order onion rings, and those were really good especially the little sauce they gave you to dip the onion rings in.

I would understand if the place was busy for the food to be cold. The reasoning given for cold food is that they were changing shifts from lunch to dinner. That meant only one thing to me they served me leftover food from lunch.

The place was noisy despite it not being crowded. Please understand it’s a bar type restaurant-So if you want a quiet place, this is not the restaurant for you.

What I return? Not anytime soon unless it’s the absolute only option. This would not be at the top of my list for...

EDITED: the manager reached out to me very quickly after I sent an email to their website. He has very responsive, asked for a direct description of the waitress to handle the problem internally. He went above and beyond to remedy the situation quickly. Not only that but he asked for my address and sent me a gift card. The situation wasn’t ideal but the way the manager handled it really made me feel cared for. I will be back to give them another chance and hopefully they have fixed the waitress issue mentioned below.

We went to millers for dinner on December 1st at 6:00. We had a good waitress assigned to us but the food took a really long time (no big deal it was busy). It was past 8 and my newly ONE YEAR OLD had enough. There were twelve people in our party. Our table was long and I let her out of the high chair to walk back and forth to talk to everyone as we were PAYING THE CHECK. I was following her and was stopping to talk to people at the other end of the table that I couldn’t hear from my end to say my goodbyes. My daughter was being so good just walking around and playing with people in our party. Most of the waitresses were saying she was so cute and walking around her. I didn’t think she was bothering anyone or in the way really. THEN the waitress that was serving the tables in the bar area (not naming names I’m sure management can figure out who) said under her breath “get a leash” regarding my daughter …. I am still fuming. I will never ever go back here. This isn’t a five star, fancy steak house . Had the worst experience (second incident) there at lunch today. The previous time we were totally ignored by the hostess and when she finally stopped talking to the waitress, she was rude and not friendly at all. Eventually a very organized server came over and stepped in and took us to our table. The server indicated the hostess always has an attitude and we weren't the first to comment on it. Today we were seated promptly at a table in the outside area of the restaurant (at a table directly opposite the bar). Greeted quickly by our server, and placed our drink orders. 15 minutes later we still did not have our drink from the bar despite the fact the bar was not busy. We waited patiently for another ten minutes while the entire time the bartender continued to socialize with her friends instead of doing her job. When we got our wine, it was flat and not drinkable. Went to the bartender to request a different wine and she said no problem. Instead of handling it promptly, she went back to talking to her friends. When I finally made an issue out of it, she told me it was her job "to entertain her bar customers", got an attitude, and her friends began to curse at me for interrupting.
