Conveniently located just 3 minutes off exit 13 in the new Kroger shopping center, this Tropical Smoothie Cafe location has been blending bold, flavorful smoothies since the beginning of 2019!
From the outside, this smoothie cafe does not seem like much, however, the atmosphere INSIDE will make you feel like you are in Florida, California or Hawaii! They have several big beach vibe images hanging up on the wall; perfect for taking a picture of your smoothie or sandwich in front of as shown in my images!
What I love most about this smoothie cafe is that they use real fruits, veggies and juices in their smoothies which just taste better in my opinion. So far I have tried their Mango Magic, Bahama Mama, Beach Bum, Peanut Butter Cup, Sunrise Sunset, Avocolada and their new Chopical smoothie which straight up tastes like a pina colada! (insert mouth watering emoji here)
The prices for each smoothie varies: Bahama Mama: $5.55 (includes tax) Mango Magic: $5.34 (includes tax) Chopical smoothie: $5.55 (includes tax) Beach Bum: $5.55 (includes tax) Peanut Butter Cup: $5.55 (includes tax) Sunrise Sunset: $5.34 (includes tax) Acocolada: $5.66 (includes tax)
HELPFUL TIP: If you are planning on getting a sandwich or wrap as well as a smoothie, then MAKE IT A MEAL and get any smoothie for only $3.50!
I'd have to say that my favorite smoothies out of the seven I've tried thus far are the Bahama Mama, Mango Magic and the Chopical smoothie. I've also had their Chicken Bacon Ranch, Chicken Pesto, Chipotle Chicken Club, Cuban Sandwich and the new BBQ Chicken Flatbread; all which are the bomb dot com!
Majority of the sandwiches are $5.87 (includes tax) except for the cuban sandwich which is $7.80. Don't let the higher price stop you from trying the cuban though! It has pulled pork, ham, mayo, yellow mustard, pickles and swiss cheese; VERY MANLY AND HEARTY! All sandwiches come with your choice of chips or a fruit!
Tropical Smoothie Cafe has quickly become my favorite smoothie shop out of all the different smoothie businesses out there. The atmosphere alone is what sets them apart from their other competitors! I do not feel like I'm drinking a smoothie to loose weight, build muscle, etc. when I order a smoothie from here compared to their competitor, Smoothie King. If you've been to a Smoothie King location and then walk into a Tropical Smoothie Cafe you will instantly understand what I am talking about. Keep up the excellent...

I had an appointment to be at within the next hour and a half. Wait time in drive thru was about 20 minutes; not of a big issue to me because it was lunch time. There was then an additional wait time at the window. Finally got my order and my smoothie tasted like water…literally.
I politely went inside and asked for a refund and for a water in exchanged. Was offered a remake but I stated I had an appointment to get to and would rather get my refund and water. Katelyn Richards (she wrote her name down on a card), the worker refused several times to give me my refund because she said she made the smoothie so she knew nothing was wrong with it though they were out of some ingredients (tells me this at this time). Also, if I had an appointment to get to don’t come through a drive thru next time.
I stated that no one should tell me what to do with my time, that’s not her place. I just don’t want to take up any additional time so that I can get to my appointment and just have my refund. She was very nasty had a huge attitude, she snatched my card, was snapping on the other employees while she finally refunded my money. The nerve. It shouldn’t have to take all of that. The situation could’ve escalated badly if I didn’t remain calm...
Read moreI just found out after visiting about 10 times for smoothies that they add 4.5 TABLESPOONS (1/4 cup) of sugar to each smoothie, unless you ask them not to. It's in very small print on the nutritional guide on the menu. I go through the drive through and from my car I have never seen the wording that tells you about the sugar.
I was initially happy when I found Tropical Smoothie Cafe because they have smoothies with vegetables, not just fruit. I was getting smoothies with spinach, kale, pineapple, etc. thinking they were good because I was getting green vegetables in addition to the fruit, only to find out I was ingesting a ton of processed sugar.
They even put sugar in the kid's smoothies.
I see that you can request the smoothie without the sugar. But, my issue is that most people wouldn't assume that a veggie and fruit smoothie has 1/4 CUP of added sugar in it. Most people think the smoothies are healthy. Could you imagine making a smoothie at home and dumping in 1/4 cup of processed sugar? We have an obesity issue in this country due to excess sugar consumption and Tropical Smoothie Cafe is contributing to it by nearly hiding the fact that you are ingesting large amounts of processed sugar in...
