Updated post. After reading many posts below mine, I needed to come back here and address something that I saw. A customer was complaining how horrible the food was and giving it a bad review and I needed to address that. Any fast food establishment is capable of letting food sit and it not being hot. That being said, this person mentioned that they had their order delivered through Uber eats. I have some knowledge on this. I would never recommend anybody getting this kind of food through Uber eats or any other delivery system. You best to come to the restaurant and order and ask for your food to be made the way you want it made. This commenter very well may have faulted the restaurant for the cold food in undesirable taste of everything, but it very well may be the fault of Uber. I have first hand knowledge to know that when an order is made, a driver may take the order but then decide he doesn't want to deliver it and pass it on to another driver. This is where problems happen. If this happens multiple times, the customer's food is left sitting there to get cold. It all depends on where the customer lives as well. I have seen it where there is a chain restaurant or fast food establishment right in front of me and my order that I accept would be a customer that lives real close but then the food app will get the food from a different establishment way farther away. This definitely would not help a person's food to stay hot. I have literally had double orders and the app will direct me to deliver first the customer's order that lives the furthest away causing the other customers food to be cold or get cold and not only that for them to wait for their food longer for no good reason. Uber app does not allow a driver to skip their double customer and go to the other customer to deliver the closer order. There's no way around it. So I have to go to bat for Arthur treachers because it very well may not be their fault that the food was cold. Additionally, I need to add that Uber does not allow the driver to see the destination address until they actually pick up the food. They make no provision for the driver to deliver the closer order or to do anything in the other order until the first order is delivered. Uber eats has a feature in the app to reach out to them if the customer has a problem with the order. No doubt this customer received a refund for this order. No doubt in my mind, but it would have been far better for the customer to reach out to the restaurant after the fact and I'm most certain the restaurant would have accommodated them and replaced their meal If all was legitimate. Read moreI come from a very large family. Every year we have our traditional Christmas Eve dinner which includes fish. This year with their being many coming from out of town we decided to have it the Sunday before Christmas. The fish is the one thing that we have to order out for because there are so many of us. Every year for as long as I can remember we have relied on Arthur treachers to provide our fish. Quite a large quantity. This is everybody's favorite fish throughout the years that we've had to order the fish. And Arthur treacher's have always been accommodating. This year because of covid Arthur treachers is now closed on Sundays. I called in advance and spoke with the owner Ben. He was kind and generous enough to once again accommodate us by going in himself on Sunday and preparing our fish! That is such dedication to his customers! I cannot say how relieved we were and how happy that he was willing to do this for us! Unfortunately as the day grew near so many of the family were afflicted with covid and or being quarantined for covid. With heavy hearts we had to cancel our party and are going to reschedule it for the near future. Thank God Arthur treachers had no problem with us having to do that. Their dedication to helping us every year along with the fact that we all absolutely love their fish and love to visit their establishment throughout the year, (Their fish is consistently flavorful, crunchy and fresh even in a huge quantity, and thier staff so friendly), are the reasons that we will always keep coming back to Arthur treacher's! Coleslaw was good, however, the rest of meal was not. I was very disappointed this time. My fish had freezer burn and no flavor. Dan's chicken was so small I asked the cashier where the chicken was and told him there should be more.
I always ask for fries to be taken out as they start to burn. They came under-cooked.
The sodas were terribly unmixed. To top it off we sit at table waiting on meals to be brought out and see a message on table "no free refills, we suggest you purchase a large drink. Each small drink is $2.59." (Something like this message.) The cashier never told us while ordering!
This cashier was nonchalant about telling the cook how I wanted my food done; I had a weird feeling. However, my eyes were dialed and we had to wait in Cuyahoga Falls to get our dog from groomers. (This is the only reason we stayed there. Never again.)
On top of this I asked the same cashier if a/c was on. Even though it was not blowing he said, "yes, it's on." When people came in they left oddly quickly. Here's the reason why.
They only give military discounts on Wednesdays. These people will never patronize this facility again.
P.S. I must say before the virus shut down the service and food were good. My honest opinion is the food that sat in freezer they were trying to get rid of instead of taking a loss. Well, because of this they lost lots more money and customers. I seriously didn't see happy customers.
