Tried to make reservations for a party of 9. We were told that reservations must be made 48 hours in advance. Did not see anything stating this on the website. Anyways we call back at some point and the girl said just to come in that the time we wanted wasn't busy -4:30ish. Showed up and greeted very nicely. We were seated very fast. Water was brought to the table and other drink orders were taken in less than 5 min. Menu has a medium size selection. Happy hour was still going on which is nice especially on the weekend. My son bragged about the Buffalo Mac n Cheese balls. Ordered 4 of those and pickle fries. Appetizers came out in a timely manor. I can only comment on the Mac n Cheese balls...very plain jane. Hardly any buffalo flavor and hardly any bacon. Basically they were Mac n Cheese balls. Everybody thought the same thing. At least they were on the happy hour menu at half price. Placed our orders. I got a side salad...nothing special. Just a salad. BIL got a Ceasar salad. Once again nothing special....just a salad. Dinner orders came. I had the Butcher Burger with fries. Side of the Brussel sprouts. I think a few ordered the smash burgers and the breakfast burger. SIL ordered the chicken sandwich. This is where the disappointment started. Burgers came out. They were on the small side. Especially for the price. It's stated on the menu that they are cooked to MED. They were more like Med Well. Very dry! SIL chicken came out and littery was raw in the middle. Nothing worse than pink chicken!. Waitress was very understanding when it was sent back. SIL decided to order something different. She got a Reuben. It came out pretty quick. She found it very grisly and with little to no 1000 island dressing. Back to looking for the waitress. She got the dressing. Anyway SIL only ate half of her sandwich. Service thru out the meal was very good. Unfortunately the problem was the food and the prices charged for what you got. Not until we left everyone spoke up about their feelings with their meals. Pretty much had the same opinion. Underwhelming food for the prices charged. Up note the sprouts were awesome. Might or might not give it a second chance. Only time will tell. The place was packed when we left so it must do something right. Chalking it up hopefully to a one time not so good experience. Thumbs up for the service, not so much for the food....not bad but not great. I must add that the chicken sandwich was removed from the bill and the Reuben was on the house. The perfect way to handle...

Bumping my review to 4 stars. After talking with the manager they must have done some training because I had two perfect to go orders-nothing awry, and I even made extensive modifications. It seemed the kitchen staff needed the most training and they must have gotten it! Feels great to be greeted by my name when I come in and know I’m going to get a delicious meal the way I ordered it. I worry as things get busier with the warm weather things might slip up in the kitchen, but I am going hope Amanda can keep the crew performing as they have been this past month. Definitely worth your time.
Old review:
Have ordered from here about 10 times in the last 6 months so I feel like I can give a fair review.
Cliff Notes: Excellent owners with bad staff.
Long story: I have ordered many times. The owners really seem to be behind their mission of farm fresh food. When my order was correct (probably only 2 times) the food was phenomenal-fresh, tasty, nice portions, and awesome flavor combinations. Unfortunately my experience with the wait staff and kitchen is horrible.
Routinely I have something big missing: entire sides, sauces asked for, toppings on burger I paid extra for. Burgers are not cooked to order (had a medium that was raw and a medium that was burnt to a crisp).
After the first 3 errors I SPECIFCIALLY asked the waiter to please check the order before they seal the bag. He assured me it was correct but when I got home it was missing several toppings (I can't awkwardly unwrap my burger in the restaurant and who wants to drive back after you've already gotten home)?
The manager Amanda comped one of my meals and said next visit to ask for her. I am hesitant to try again as they are no cheap, but it is worth it when the order is correct. I was supposed to get a gift card for the other ones but I never received it, tried to contact them but haven't heard back.
I think the owners are doing a great job but they really need to train their kitchen and wait staff better. Until I see evidence of this I would hold off eating here as your order will likely be incorrect.
Will update review if/when I order again and how that...
Read moreFrom August 8/26 around 6:50pm: I would rate this place 5 stars because the food was great and so was our server, but the way I was greeted by the hostess was enough to knock it down a few stars. I tried making a reservation online for 8, website said that they wouldn’t take reservations for parties less than 10. I thought, “alright, I’ll show up 10 mins early to wait for a table before my friends get here”. I’ve worked in restaurants so I understand I could have to wait for a walk-in table for 8 people. I walk in with my just my fiancé and was greeted. It was honestly a lot slower than I expected for a Friday night so I felt relieved. When the hostess asked how many people, I replied 8 and the hostess said back (with a twinge of attitude) “oh god”. I was actually shocked at her response. After she tried saying something like “it’s just when I see two people come in and they say 8 it throws me off”. I said back “I tried making a reservation online but I wasn’t able due to the size of my party” to which she replied “we don’t take reservations, idk why that’s even on the website”…. Side note- don’t try to make a reservation online at this place either. (Butcher and Sprout- I suggest taking the “reserve table” option on google down. Could you imagine coordinating a group of 10 or more just to have them “not accept reservations”?!?) Never in my life have I had such poor customer service in the first five minutes of arrival. You know that saying “first impressions are everything”? Well this is applicable in the customer service industry too. I was a hostess/server/bartender for 10 years and now work in customer service, I could not imagine ever treating a customer like that. By the way, I was getting together with friends for my birthday that night.. what an unwelcoming start to my dinner I was...
