I was on the hunt for some zoodles. Divine Restaurant came up on my search, I was excited as I saw many good reviews. The atmosphere is nice. It seems like the family collection of Don Drumm was hanging on the wall. Loved the dark ceiling, but the gray wall lacked warmth and a cozy feeling. Our waitress was very enthusiastic to tell what they had for special. She mentioned 'French Onion as good as served in a French Cafe'. I've been to France, and I never had French Onion Soup there, but as it is one of my favorites, I have a lot of French onions. The soup here lacked the depth and richness of a well-done French onion soup. It has a light broth, and onions were not cooked long enough or had beef broth or wine. Later, I found out it was 12 dollars for a small crock. My zucchini noodles were too al dente, I requested no cream and to replace the garbanzo beans with four shrimp. It came with a simple salad, the shrimp and sauce were delicious. The cost was a whopping 35 dollars. My partner got a medium 8 oz. filet. It didn't seem to be a filet mignon. The texture and grain of the meat did not match a good filet mignon, and it was well done rather than medium, which he had asked for. It came with a salad and asparagus and a few French fries. The cost was 51 dollars. We found it funny that our waitress kept stressing that their food was excellent, of course. We had only water and no appetizers or desserts. Our cost was $109. We don't mind paying for high-quality food cooked professionally. This food was not the best quality, and it seemed a homecook rather a chef made these. For these prices the food must be better. We were...
Read moreI only review places that seem special to me. The decor is whimsical/Stevie nicks-esque. Very cute. There is not one thing I ordered I wouldn’t be eager to eat again. Our waitress Emily was super kind and she shared her favorites (she recommended the wings). She also shared all the SPECIALS, there are so many seasonal things and it sounds as though 99% of the menu and specials are made from scratch here in the kitchen! We had the chicken wings (all of which are confit in their own fat then crisped up) in Korean BBQ flavor. The meat was crisp n’ juicy and literally fell off the bone. The drinks were strong and delicious. And my steak, potatoes and broccolini were all seasoned perfectly. Im not one to order diced russet potatoes/ or eat them without ketchup but everything was perfect on its own. We ended with a seasonal berry bread pudding which was made with croissants; let me tell you it was buttery, sweet, and delicious. The price was definitely worth the quality and service! I can’t wait to go back and try more of their food (and maybe one drink at...
Read moreMy wife and I finally made it to Divine yesterday, early evening. Everything that we had was just excellent! We both had the chicken marsala with brussel sprouts, the house salad was excellent I had mine with the sherry vinaigrette... very good I recommend it. The sauerkraut bombs are definitely one of the best appetizers I've had. They are much more delicate and interesting than sauerkraut balls. Add the cheddar cheese and paprika aioli and, well let's just say I'm glad we only got one order because we could go through them for sure. Their mac and cheese was excellent. I'm a bit fussy about mac and cheese because I make my own in the southern, casserole style. This had a very elegant, gourmet sauce on it and the chorizo added another complex layer. For me, chicken marsala is all about the sauce and chef did a great job here! It was delicious. Drinks were great....we had excellent old fashions with our meals. Definitely a place to go to for a nice dinner in the area. I have to try the pasta next time, homemade noodles are just...
