Changing my review from 5 stars to 2. This place used to be amazing. I sent so many people to this location. We used to get food at least once a month from here and then took a break. After a three or four month hiatus, we went back and all our favorite dishes are now terribly different. The Gobi Manchurian tastes like ketchup. The saag tastes like it's out of a can. The Tikka masala and Butter Chicken are mediocre as well. What happened? Did the head chef quit? Did ownership change? The prices are the same for tasteless, sad dishes.
Old review: As others have noted, this is a tiny restaurant and take out is the way to go. I'm vegetarian and the husband eats meat as well as vegetarian items. We both find so many wonderful things to eat.
The Mushroom Masala and the Gobi Manchurian. Vegetable Korma is good, too. My husband loves the Chicken Tikka Masala. Garlic and chili naan are my favorite. Mild is sufficiently spicy for me, but medium is good when I want to portion control. Ha! One quip is I wish there were fewer items on the vegetarian menu with paneer or the option to substitute paneer for more vegetables.
When we call, it always takes 20 minutes - never more and never less. I've never had a wrong order and we usually...
Read moreI just had their chicken biryani. However I found the rocks on the food twice. First one I had several rocks, so I had to get a new one. While I was eating the left over, I just bit into huge rock and my teeth is hurted... This restaurant hasn't not disappointed me about their taste of food. But I am not too sure if owner knows that rock is not an edible food... I am really disappointed about the quality of their food. I have had their food for least one year, but I don't think I can keep going to this restaurant if I get a rock on the third one... least this restaurant would make an another one for me... But..... What if that has a stone too....

I just went back to the store and had talk with owner of the restaurant. He said this is the part of spice they used in the blender. If so then why this is rock hard and hurt my teeth. Also, he said that I am banned from the restaurant from now on. What a great customer service in this restaurant. I can't love...

This hole-in-the-wall sort of outlet has no room for dine-in experience. Have tried their take-out on a number of occasions; the food has been satisfying and service prompt, every time. Apart from the biryanis, which are part of their branding, 'daal makhani' is also recommended (although one has to dive deep to fish lentil & kidney bean solids). The flaky 'lachha Paratha' have been an all season show stealer - the best in 20 mile radius, at least.
We do understand the no-frills model, and space squeeze, but the shabbily festooned curtain, that conceals provisions & stacks of disposable tableware, in cash register area, raises legit concerns about potential disarray behind the scenes, in production area. There's scope for making food delivery area spiffy with just a bit of aesthetic sense. And, defaulting minimum gratuity option to 18%, for no-dine-in experience, is an overkill. And yes, they're close...
