This location just opened in a newly built retail complex. It is easy to get in if you're heading towards 290 but if you're heading away from 290 it will be difficult to make a left turn in then a u-turn back out during rush hour.
I was here on a Saturday around 10. There were 2 people in the median, 2 at the lot entrance, 1 on the opposite side holding up signs to promote the grand opening. Inside there were 2 people at the entrance handing out menus, 2 at the register (1 trainer and 1 trainee) and at least 10 people behind the counter just chatting amongst themselves. In total, 20 employees paid and about half actually working.
There's only one point of sale, so despite there being only 6 other customers (2 sitting down) and 4 others in line, there's a slight wait. The promoted Teal Fuel has signage for "Ask your barista for free samples" but when I asked for a sample it wasn't ready. I didn't mind waiting, I'm guessing they wanted customers to at least order first. We ordered an Irish Iced Coffee and Matcha Latte.
Then when the drinks were ready the trainer told us the sample would be coming out soon. I glanced behind the counters and the 10 employees were still just standing around talking amongst each other, a female employee dispensed the Teal Fuel in a samples cup and just walked off with it. That was enough of a sign that it wasn't worth my time any longer to stand around and wait for a sample to be ignored.
The employee count is relevant because given that they were open at 5 am, with 20 employees working, not many things were ready or were most of the employees being attentive to customers present. They were practically paid to socialize amongst themselves behind the counters.
The drinks were offered at BOGO, so for the medium iced Irish Coffee it was 6.44 after tax. Both drinks tasted pretty bland, we did not finish neither the coffee or the Matcha Latte.
There are definitely better coffee places along this stretch of road, a few further down, near...

I recently visited the Black Rock Coffee on Barker Cypress, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Having been a regular at the Spring location, where they offer a happy hour from Monday to Thursday between 12 pm and 5 pm, I was thrilled to see a new shop open closer to me.
However, my visit on 06/17/24 between 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm left much to be desired due to the extremely rude cashier working that day. The cashier at the drive-through had no care for customer service. When I asked if they offered the same happy hour deal as the Spring location, she ignored me the first time. Assuming she didn't hear me, I repeated my question, only to receive an abrupt "no we donāt" in response. As I tried to explain that the other location had this offer, she cut me off with a curt "what do you want?" completely disregarding my inquiry.
This negative interaction deterred me from making a purchase, and I left without trying the coffee. I was excited about this new location, but the poor customer service has made me...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOnly giving it 3 stars because I know they are super friendly BUTTTT I went yesterday on one of the promotions day at 6 am and there was only 1 worker there and there was a car ahead of me and one behind me. I placed my order waited in line, then when I get to the window the lady asked if I can repeat my order which was not even started. But while I was waiting but the window seems like the people walking in were getting there orders first. Not only that the car behind me left the line due to long wait time. Took 20 min just to waste my time with no order ready so I left.
If youāre doing a promotion make sure the place has staff to tend...
