Pizza Twist — Restaurant in Cypress

My sister and I were getting coffee next door when I noticed Pizza Twist next door! The signs had South Asian/Indian flavors on them and we were interested so we went inside only to find out Pizza Twist Cypress has so many Halal options!

I was really excited about this because I hadn’t had halal pizza in sooo long and was getting bored of eating veggie pizza. The owners were sooo nice and informative! They showed us the Halal menu (now beware not everything is Halal, but there are plenty of options and everything is well separated so I felt fully comfortable eating it), and gave us all the context we needed to order our pizza.

We got the Chicken Curry Pizza and it was AMAZING! I was so hungry I took a couple of bites in the car and was so impressed. My family loved it too. Each slice was well seasoned, had a great kick of garlic, and also had so much toppings/veggies. The slices were big (we got the family size) and we ate the pizza for like two days after.

I really do reccomend Pizza Twist Cypress Halal if youre looking for some amazing desi inspired pizza, even if you arent, give them a shot. I cant wait to go back and try some...

We came for their “opening”. It started off as me using the Google feature for a reservation because of the pictures the restaurant being small. The reservation was confirmed. Great. So we get there and there was 0 customers, no reservation sign for us either. We ordered at 5:05. We checked on our order at 5:35 and the place was beginning to get full. Our order still was not ready and they said it was because of a big phone order. But then we noticed they also served their family members who came in after us. Which is eh to me not okay. It was 5:50 and I went to ask for our food which by then was just getting out from the kitchen.

Overall the food was good. We ordered cheese, supreme and chicken tikka masala and some wings. The wings sauce was good but the skin of the wings needed to be crispier not slimy.

The place is small, but it was clean.

I would suggest: water cups/pitcher as we had to wait for an hour and drank our soda. It took forever to get water bottles

Was it worth 50 minutes - not really. Don’t think we will return. But...

Achari pizza - 10/10 - Some of the most flavorful and spiciest pizzas ive had with a crispy crust🔥

Butter chicken naan pizza - 8/10 - Chicken tasted more gingery than like butter chicken but overall pizza was tasty

Tikka masala wings - 9/10 - Had lots of flavor/spice and cooked well🍗

Buffalo wings - 9/10 - Flavor was good with a slight tangyness, also crispy 😋

Pesto chicken pasta - 8/10 - Loved the sauce 🍝 but was a bit oily for my liking

Achari fries - 9/10 - Crispy🍟, saucy, and so flavorful

Samosas - 8/10 - Paired really well with the chutney, could use more potato filling

Mango lassi - 9/10 - Perfect consistency and sweetness level was good as well

Pizza Twist🍕 has multiple locations across Texas and today is their grand opening for their Cypress location!
