If i could give this place 0 stars I would but I want to share my recent dining experience at this restaurant last Thursday December 21. My family and I, a party of five, including two adults and three children, visited for dinner. Unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. My family had already been waiting for about ten minutes before I arrived, and when I got there, we waited an additional 30 minutes just to place our order. It was another 30 to 40 minutes before our food was served. During this time, we were repeatedly served water without any attention from the waitstaff.
When I finally inquired about placing our order, the waitress pointed to someone who had been ignoring us the entire evening, and her response, which was delivered with a sigh and a rude tone, was, "WHAT DO YOU WANT." It was a moment that left us in disbelief, and we should have left immediately. However, the only reason we stayed was because our hungry children needed to be taken care of.
To add to our disappointment, when my husband and I ordered margaritas upon my arrival, they were shockingly bad (watery and sugary). We had to send them back and opt for the frozen ones from the machine hoping they would be better. Our orders took a long time to arrive, and two of them were incorrect. It was clear that the service was subpar, and it felt as though we were not wanted there. Additionally, we couldn't help but notice the differential treatment compared to other guests, which was disheartening.
What made matters worse was that we could hear unfavorable comments about other customers that were being made in Spanish, seemingly under the assumption that we didn't understand. (as the waitstaff would walk by but come back to those customers tables and smile right to them and continue to serve them, while we were ignored) And rude gestures toward us waving us off. However, as a Black Latino Spanish speaking family, we did understand what was being said, and it made our dining experience even more uncomfortable. Despite all this, my husband still left a tip.
On a slightly positive note, the man we assume was a manager did comp my husband's meal due to it being incorrect. However, it's worth noting that the waitress, who initially didn't want to take our order, repeated his order back to me incorrectly, and I had to correct her, but as I said she didn't want to help us so I highly doubt she was listening.
If management or whoever the owner is cares or would like more information, please let me know. However, after reading the reviews after the fact, it's clear that this isn't the first time this type of experience has happened at this establishment. It was a disappointing experience, and we will never return to...

Restaurant Review: The Rustic Fork
Located in the heart of downtown, The Rustic Fork aims to deliver a pleasant dining experience with a blend of rustic charm and modern comfort.
Ambiance: The decor is inviting, featuring wooden beams, exposed brick walls, and warm lighting. It strikes a balance between modern elegance and a cozy, farmhouse feel, making it a comfortable spot for a casual meal.
Service: Unfortunately, the service fell short during my visit. While the staff was polite, the attentiveness and efficiency were lacking. It took quite a while to get our orders, and we had to remind the server a couple of times about our requests.
Food: The food quality was average. I started with the roasted beet salad, which was decent but not particularly memorable. For the main course, I tried the braised short ribs. The meat was reasonably tender, but the flavor was somewhat underwhelming. The sides of mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables were standard but not exceptional.
Dessert was a warm apple tart with vanilla bean ice cream. It was pleasant but didn't stand out as a highlight of the meal.
Drinks: The wine list offered a good selection, and I enjoyed a glass of Pinot Noir, which was one of the better aspects of the dining experience.
Value: One of the strong points of The Rustic Fork is its pricing. The food is reasonably priced, making it a good option for those looking for a decent meal without breaking the bank.
Overall: The Rustic Fork offers good food for the price, but don't expect an outstanding culinary experience. The ambiance is lovely, but the service could use improvement. If you’re looking for an affordable meal in a cozy setting, it’s worth a visit, but keep your...
