I have never, NEVER left a negative review in my 22 years of living, especially as someone who worked in the food service industry for multiple years. Today, I was appalled at how my experience was here that I felt compelled to tell others. We came in, sat down, ordered and everything was fine. 30 minutes AFTER we ordered, we were informed that the kitchen staff was running late and had yet to arrive. This information should have been disclosed before we ordered and sat there for half an hour. 5 minutes after we were told that there was no kitchen staff, we saw them all walk in. We were a little confused, but were willing to wait it out. One of the staff member then proceeds to start mopping the floor with an overwhelming scented floor cleaner. Normally we aren’t sensitive to smells but the scent was so strong we started getting nauseous. They ended up offering us 10% off of our bill, but we could not physically sit and wait there any longer than we had. At this point, it had almost been an hour. We cancelled our order and left.

One minor detail that also bothered me happened when we have one dish that came out, the Tamarind Blood Clam. We had 2 clams in total before looking at the dish and realizing half of the plate were empty shells. I acknowledge that it was only supposed to be 8 clams after the wait staff informed us about the dish when we brought it up and claimed it was to let the customer know that it is fresh, however thats just bad practice because no customer wants to see their plate half empty.

We payed for the clams and was fine with that since we did receive the dish, and by no means do we want that money back. We just want a manager or someone to read this review and have a conversation on what the customer experience here was. Thank you for reading...

Honestly, by no means does this place has the best tasting crawfish but it does have a variety of Vietnamese food that I do crave! Especially snails! This is literally outside my neighborhood so its pure convenience and I don’t have to travel down Chinatown to fulfill my cravings.

Crawfish - I went a few weeks ago and it was $6.99/lb. Fairly priced. I got the house special which I’m not fond of. I don’t really like my crawfish tasting like our orange juice. And it’s very garlicky. Not a bad thing but crawfish was a little overcooked almost everytime I’ve been. So when I did come back, I tried the Cajun crawfish instead. A little better in flavor but still mostly overcooked. Needs a little bit more sodium. Haha yeah. Tail meats a little bland.

Snails - I’ve tried a couple of snail dishes here and for the most part it was was enjoyable! I prefer the ones cooked in coconut milk or the sautéed ones in lemongrass and garlic! Spicy, savory and just delish.

Chicken feet - love these things! Especially deep fried and always ask for extra crispy! And a side of rice. The crispy buts goes well with it.

Grilled shrimp - these were good. Nothing crazy.

Overall, I would say crawfish is okay. Vietnamese food faired way better. But however, the service is nonexistent. I’ve been here like maybe 4-5 times already. Only one other time, I’ve had A+ service. Most times, the guys just sit behind the cash register on their phones. I can be the only one in there and still have to wave for something. lol but yeah. A lot of times, I’ve seen dirty tables left uncleaned even up until the time I was done eating.. but besides that. I do enjoy it. Convenient...
