Eagle Ranch West Pocket Park — Attraction in Katy

Nice to find off road running venues.I did 8 figure 8's ,so as not to do track style laps & change directionality often. Excepting the 2 weed eaters that made incessant noise the whole hour & the 3 ladies smoking pot while watching their toddlers on the play structure--it was quite pleasant. I want to add that there's a 2 mile grass " path" next to park. I use it to rack up 7 miles. Be careful--the surface can break yr ankles until you adapt to this peripheral movement. I love the natural terrain trail. The crunch sound of the trail under my shoes is soothing while I walk. There are no foul odors either. The area is new so the planned landscaping will take 20 year before it looks like Katy, TX and not a planned neighborhood walking path. There are no restrooms, handicap accessible ramps or picnic tables. Parking is along the neighborhood street. Decent walk path for a quick stroll, not many mature trees a long the path, the playground is nothing special and it's next to an unsightly water treatment plant.
