This donut place is now Amazing Glaze with new owners and unfortunately it's no different than when it was Daylight donuts. I've been to other Amazing Glaze franchises and they're always stock full of donuts and their displays are never empty so when I found out that this place was bought by Amazing Glaze I got excited. What a disappointment to find out that they're the exactly the same, if not worse than Daylight donuts. Ordered their 1/2 dozen, a dozen donut holes, and a twist online. The 1/2 dozen says it's a variety, but when I picked it up, it was 3 glazed and 3 chocolates. The twist wasn't included with my order when I arrived to pick it up, and when I ask the Hispanic looking man that was there if it was in the box, and he said yes. Luckily I checked it before I left, and when I told the guy that the twist wasn't in there, he chuckled and said "good thing you checked." So I asked why the donuts don't look like what they advertised on their website, and the Hispanic looking girl that was there said that you have to call the day before to order exactly what you want. So they have an online order option but want you to call to place an order for donuts for the next day, so if you crave donuts go somewhere else to get donuts. Also the donuts were cold like they were in the fridge so if you want fresh donuts, stay clear off this place. You'll be...
Read moreNever again and I looooooooove donuts!!!! So I show up at 4:45 am and they open at 5. Ok no problem, I'll wait. At 5:07 a VERY "rough around the edges" man opens the door. He leaves his keys in the lock and another customer going in before me asks him if he wants his keys in the door. "NO!!!" the man barks! Immediately I was taken aback. The other customer and I get to the counter at the same time. It's one of those "You go first." "No, you go ahead." moments. The yucky grouchy man behind the counter rolls his eyes and barks "Well someone needs to go first!" Now I am appalled so I say "Boy, aren't you friendly?!?!", turn around and walk out. I wasn't ready to order yet because ALL of the donuts were in the back room (not in the front where they're visible) and I didn't know what I wanted yet as I couldn't see them. It seems to me that if you open at 5, you should open at 5 and be ready for business. That's just common sense. I work too hard for my money and I like to support small local businesses, but only where my business is appreciated. From now on, I will drive the extra miles and go to Winchell's in Longmont. Not only are their donuts better, but they are incredibly nice and thankful for...
Read moreUpdated review 10/6/24 New owners is a big plus , the donuts taste better then the old owners, they are fresh and the place looks so much better and it don't feel dirty in there like it did , the old owner did not care ,so happy to see this place on the right path, so if you need donuts in Frederick go stop by it's nice to have a good local place again. The only reason I did not give five star on the food. Is the chocolate on top of the donuts need a little more flavor.
Stopped here one morning. Really early as they opened on a Friday to get a dozen glazed donuts for some of the people I work with. She would not sell me a dozen because she's like that's a special order, How is a dozen donuts A special order?
