Mustangs aren’t known to be good racehorses, but apparently this Mustang is as it just brought home the restaurant trifecta for Dacono, CO! Do you want a good greasy burger Jerry D’s 2.0 has you covered, maybe prefer a good Mexican meal just head over to Casa Cortez, but if you’re looking for something unique and tasty, I highly recommend a visit to the Indian Nepali cuisine restaurant Mustang!
First, I realize that Indian food is not for everyone. I avoided it for many years believing that I would not like it, I couldn’t have been more wrong. Mustang is the latest local restaurant offering delicious Indian food with a menu large and diverse enough to capture most fans of this cuisine.
Whether they tailored their spices to the area or just use a conservative scale for hotness, my wife and I found the dishes to be flavorful but on the mild side of spicy. We started out with a Chai tea and Papadum appetizer, and added a Pani Puri (which was a little more oniony than I expected). Main course was a Chicken Korma with Garlic Naan which were both incredibly delicious. I added a Taj Mahal lager (you won’t find Budweiser here but they did have Modelo). Finished out with a Rasmalai for dessert (also quite tasty).
For a Wednesday night Mustang was busier than we expected and there were some who had already been here before. The staff was friendly and helpful with the owner’s brother serving and seeing how we were doing. The place was clean, brightly lit, lightly decorated, with tables spaced apart far enough that you enjoy your own conversation without overhearing others. It was a little amusing to see the tables numbered on the nearby walls. Surprisingly the silverware was quality 18/8 stainless and not the cheap chow hall stuff you see elsewhere! Best of all it seemed that it was a great value for the price of our meal.
Would we return again? Absolutely! Mustang is a great little restaurant that gives us Tri-Town folks a little...
Read moreI originally ordered on September 13th. When I got home, my medium spiced chicken tikka masala that I ordered was a hot butter chicken. I called the restaurant and informed them of the error and they offered to make a new order, but I told them I wasn’t going to be coming back that night. They took my name and said they’d make it another time. We did try to eat it, but it was too spicy for my wife and it was pretty hot for me, and I like and am used to spicy foods.
The other day, we decided to take them up on their offer to make it right for us. They gladly made medium spiced chicken tikka masala for us and I checked that it was right before I left. It said chicken tikka masala medium. Great! We got it home and starred to eat it.
First off, the flavor of both the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala was really good. The food here is delicious and I’m sure you can find something here to like. Second, the medium seemed just about as spicy as the hot was. Again, my wife couldn’t eat it, but I could.
Maybe start with mild and work your way up unless you know everyone who will be eating it is accustomed to very spicy food.
We had the garlic cheese jalapeño naan both times and both times we devoured it.
The staff were very friendly and took care of us. We will be...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re looking for authentic flavors that feel like home, this Nepali-Indian restaurant is a true gem! The food is absolutely delicious—every dish is rich with spices yet perfectly balanced. The momos are some of the best I’ve ever had: juicy, flavorful, and served with a mouthwatering achar that adds the perfect kick. Their curries are creamy, aromatic, and cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of heat. What makes this place stand out even more is the warmth of the service. The staff is so welcoming and attentive, making you feel like family from the moment you step in. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for both family dinners and casual get-togethers. Whether you’re craving Nepali comfort food or classic Indian favorites, this spot will never disappoint. Highly recommend to anyone who wants an authentic taste of Nepal and India under...
