Hallelujah the hot stone bowls are back! If you've never had bibimbap in a hot stone bowl, what are you waiting for?! Your only excuse is trying the fried chicken instead, because it's equally awesome.
To be real, I was ignorant to the world of Korean fried chicken but am glad I was shown the light. Bbbop has two great offerings: wings and half (or whole) birds. The wings are lightly dusted in cornstarch. The birds are battered. Both are glazed with your choice of a variety of sauces. I've tried every sauce and they are all stellar, but shoutouts to my favorites: soy ginger and spicy chili, in that order. Much to my waist's chagrin, the fried chicken and wings are as good as you'll find anyplace.
But the chicken isn't the only entree with "wings." I've eaten through nearly the entire menu and it is truly "all good." Plus, the house-brewed teas are awesome and I never knew I liked bocce until I tried the pit out back. Pro tip: you can order takeout and play bocce while you wait for your order.
Plus, there are legit vegetarian and vegan options in plates of all sizes. And everyone can enjoy the fries, which are always served hot and crispy--even when you take them home. I've taken many friends there with a wide array of dietary preferences, including vegetarians, vegans, folks with celiac disease, and folks who can't eat any sugar. Everyone found something they loved. And everyone goes back.
This spot is equally cool for an outing where you can eat with your fingers (wing-night!) and a casual first date.
My only true regret is that stellar options like the Thai pork belly vanished from the menu never to be seen again. Please resurrect it!! And, like every other place, the size of the wings and birds have shrunk a wee bit since the pandemic, but this isn't really bbbop's fault and they are still heads and shoulders above other wing joints.
Bottom line: Bebop is a dietary staple for me that is responsible for at least 10 pounds of my COVID-15.
What to try: Uh, the wings! And the fried chicken. And the bibimbap in a hot stone bowl. That's at least three visits. You will not...

Update April 2024: Not worth it anymore. We ordered a Forealz Bop amongst other BOYO bowls at the beginning of this week and the food gave my husband and I food poisoning. When we first contacted the restaurant, a person named "Cassandra" answered and claimed they were a manager, I explained what happened and they put me on hold to hang up the phone on me. I attempted to call back (yes from different phones too), they seem to be able to disable their phones ah but not for long because I kept trying until the call finally went through. Same person answered with an attitude saying "you were calling back." Cassandra, which, I doubt that's their real name, eventually said "this is the first time this happens under my watch" and was very defensive claiming they need to follow some escalation process they are unaware of since this has never happened to them (weird how "managers" aren't trained to do a small refund for something gone wrong). $70 is NOT that much money. Cassandra gave me a ticket number (which, again, seemed like they were just making characters up because they really took their time to repeat it to a point I thought they had hung up on me again), said I would get a call back. Later in the day, hours later, my MIL finally gets in touch with them again and FINALLY a refund gets processed. I've never had an issue with a restaurant not have customer obsession to try and make things right for them. I was only asking for a refund since we had to spend money to get Pedialyte for my husband and I. It was horrible,...
Read moreService was horrible! Came in with a group of 6, went ahead and ordered at the self service since nobody was at the counter upon arrival. After placing our order, the machine decided to stop working and not accept any payments. No problem, we called for an employee and they kindly took pics of our order and put it in the employee kiosk. While waiting, I saw that they have a shareable bibibop! I asked to replace my 2 premade bibibops (that were sitting on the counter) that i had ordered. The male employee with long brunette hair and glasses said sure no problem! Looking at the sign, I swear the price said $12! I know I’m not the only one who thought that because other customers thought so too! After we ordered, we kindly took our numbers and sat at a table. We got the 2 premade bibibops from a server and I said I took these off my order in exchange for the shareable platter. She looked at me and said that’s not what it says on the receipt. I’m confused and I look around for the employee who helped me and I don’t see him. I repeat myself and she just walks away. We waited for 30-45 minutes for food to come out. At the 1 hour mark, we noticed that had received 4 entrees and not the other 2. After speaking up, we realized the male employee ended up removing 2 entrees instead of the 2 premade bibibops. The employees did not offer any compensation or even apologize. At this point I’m extremely frustrated, I just wanted to take my family out and 2 of them didn’t even receive their food. I would...
