2023 Review: Figured we'd try this place again because it's been a while. Saturday night at 8pm they were completely dead. And it's no wonder. $20 for a 3 meat plate with 2 sides and rolls. Inflation brought the prices up but the quality went down so I've removed stars from my earlier review. It's still a lot of food but less than half of my meal was edible. The pulled pork was completely flavorless, the macaroni was watered down and flavorless, the apple cobbler that I was so happy to find last time was RAW dough on the bottom. My husband did enjoy the ribs. The turkey, ham, brisket, and sausage were okay but not good enough to bring us back. The kid charged us for 2 drinks without asking if I was having a soda also when my husband ordered one. I drink water. He refunded it without fuss. Mistakes happen. But had I not caught it we'd have been ripped off. Then to top it off there's a charge added to card purchases that wasn't mentioned. It's one price if you pay cash and another if you pay by card. That lost them my business and all of their stars. We'll never be back.

2019 Review: Pretty good barbecue at a decent price. I really enjoyed their sausage, baked potato, beans, and potato salad. The corn wasn't to my liking though. This is the only place down here (so far) that I've found anything other than peach cobbler (they have apple also) so that made me very happy.

SEVERE FOOD POISONING I WAS HOSPITALIZED FOR ALMOST A WEEK !!!!!! Eat here at your own risk this is not a review I’m making bc I’m upset or anything of that nature I just want to genuinely warn people !!! I felt perfect last Saturday morning I ate here last Saturday around noon within 2 hours I had the worst cramps of my life felt like contractions I assumed it was my cycle coming so tried to deal it just got worse I was curled in a ball for hours it was so extreme I knew it wasn’t anything normal happening but was so confused as to how this happened so quickly I started sweating but had the chills my temp spiked to 102 went to Baylor about 2am and was diagnosed with food poisoning and admitted immediately they had to give me fent for pain it was so severe I couldn’t even keep down water i couldn’t eat for 5 days I missed the whole week of work had to be kept on an iv for almost a week for antibiotics and fluids worst pain I’ve felt in a veryyyyyy long time it’s not worth it eat elsewhere I beg you the people seemed nice but awful...

This place is a joke. You'd be better off trying some other place to eat.

I just tried to have some food delivered (almost $100 worth) through Doordarsh, because evidently that's the only way to get a delivery from this place, and me and my friends are hungry while we watch these college football games, but 5 seconds after I ordered, they canceled the order.

When I called them, I asked if they were doing Doordash, and the guy on the phone said "Man, we don't like doing Doordash. " what an unprofessional little kid they have answering the phone . You could have said anything to help ease my dismay, and that's what you said to me?

Get real.

I don't know what your name is, but don't come looking for a job at my restaurant, you can't have one, and the owner of this place should fire you. You're as unprofessional as they come.
