Dessert Lab — Restaurant in Dallas

This is my first time visiting a Dessert Lab; I believe there are other locations around town. It was generally a good experience. I was immediately met by a very friendly and professional counter person. I was also met with slightly too loud and too hard music - although I am an admitted grump. The menu is broad, including ice cream, waffles and crepes.

I had been craving a good chocolate milkshake, which many places in Dallas mess up. It should be made with chocolate ice cream, chocolate syrup, and milk. If it is made with vanilla ice cream, then it is a black & white rather than a chocolate shake. If chocolate syrup is omitted, it is weak and trash worthy, and my taste buds cry. Chocolate lovers want chocolate! Really, no one should be accepting these terrible “chocolate” shakes! Demand to see a manager! Make a sign and start a picket line!!!

So, Dessert Lab did it right for $7.50. The shake was very chocolatey and came with a cap of whipped cream. It was very satisfying, though a tad watery due to slight over mixing. This might be better than under-mixed shakes that won’t flow through the straw. Also, I would have preferred a few less ice crystals, something which other ice cream places are able to overcome somehow. Still, the chocolate taste shined through.

Finally, I would love them to improve their website. It doesn’t begin to cover specifics about their variety of products. I think that hurts companies in this day and age. I went because it was convenient; their website was insufficient to...

My daughter told me she wanted to try the viral dubai chocolate. They came from out of state. We went to this location on Monday night around 9:30. Sadly, the girl at the counter said they were in the process of making them, and it would be ready the next day. However, my daughter and her family were flying out the next morning. Most people would say I should deduct a star, but I just couldn't.

We tried some very delicious desserts. The atmosphere and the lady who was helping us were so great. We ordered the Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Cup, Vanilla Milk Shake, Vanilla Ice Cream, and Strawberry Shake. We were not disappointed. I recommended trying them. I think that if the Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Cup was delicious, the viral Dubai chocolate would be delicious as well. I'm planning on going back again soon and trying other desserts.

Also, they have some games to play with friends. We played UNO using big cards. Fun time with the family!

A 10/10 Dessert Experience – Shoutout to Faria!

If you’re in Dallas and haven’t been to Dessert Lab on Frankford yet, you’re seriously missing out. I stopped by and was completely blown away—not just by the desserts, but by the service too.

I was having trouble picking from their amazing menu, but Faria went above and beyond to help me choose the perfect dessert for my taste. She was super friendly, patient, and really knew her stuff. Based on her recommendation, I went with the Dubai Strawberry Cup, and let me just say… it was next-level.

The dessert was absolutely divine—layers of luscious cream, juicy strawberries, and just the right touch of sweetness. It felt like a luxury dessert you’d find in the heart of Dubai. Beautiful presentation, refreshing flavors, and totally addictive.

The atmosphere was clean, modern, and welcoming, and with service like Faria’s, it made the whole experience even more special. This place isn’t just a dessert spot—it’s a full-on vibe.
