I honestly cannot say the food was bad as I never had the chance to try it before leaving.
I’ve waited a couple days to cool down before writing this review, because it was not a great experience at all. My girlfriend and I decided to eat here because there was a nice band playing outside. Naturally, we put our names on the list to wait for an outside table. While we were waiting, we each got a beer at the bar, and that was fine, no issues there. We got the text that our table was ready, and sat down.
This is were stuff got bad. Here’s how that night went:
5 min after being seated - We have yet to be talked to by the waiting staff. They looked a little busy cleaning up two tables next to us so not a big deal.
10 min after being seated - Still nothing. But, by this time, I have finished my beer, so I have an empty glass in front of me, and my gf’s glass is low. Meanwhile, they are sitting new customers and the two recently cleaned tables. AND getting them water. This is were I started to notice that we were getting ignored.
15 min after - The two new tables have ordered their food, and I have made eye contact the waiting staff. I decided not to speak up about it just because honest, I shouldn’t have to; so yeah, this turned into a test.
25 min after - The two other guests are being served their pizza. At this point I was looking for the manager who was fairly active helping out the staff with some tables.
It took me a couple minutes to find him, but I decided to start by showing him that my text message from when our table was ready, 29 minutes prior. After explaining the story to him, he mentions that he DID see us but was under the impression we were helped because we had drink (THAT WERE EMPTY!) We also still had menus sitting right in front of us, which I’ve never seen a restaurant not know that us having menus means we have not ordered yet. His response is what really did it for me though. He merely shrugged slightly and held his hands out as if he were going “huhhhh????” And said “We’d like to make it up to you?”
Yes, that is a question mark. His tone almost sounded like he wasn’t sure if he could help without asking a real manager first for permission.
We explained, thanks but no thanks and left.
TLDR: Was never talked to for service. After 30 minutes and newer customers already being served, I complained to the manager who acted like a normal employee. We left...
Read moreI have heard many good things about Eno's Pizza Tavern from my friends, So my girlfriend and I decided to give it a try. We live in Coppell so we decided to try the location at the Sound over in Cypress Waters. The restaurant itself is just honestly really cool and so was the rest of our experience. I decided to check out the bar area to check out all of the beers they have on tap while we waited to be sat. The bartenders Juli and Marcos kindly welcomed me and had no problem answering all my questions about all the local beer and wines as well for my girlfriend. The host kindly sat us down and our server Nico greeted us. I was very impressed by his service and humor. He was very efficient especially when taking our orders. For beer I went with Bishop Peach tea I think that's what is was called haha and my girlfriend got the Eola Hills Pinot Noir. BOTH SUPER GOOD! Our server Nico suggested the Truffle Cheese Bread so we started off with that. Let me tell you.... WORDS CAN NOT DESCRIBE HOW DELICIOUS THIS BREAD IS. Like wow, I didn't think our dining experience could get better but Mr. Eno's himself proved me wrong. Since our server made a solid recommendation the first time we asked him again and he suggested for us to get the pig smiley claiming it was his favorite pizza and I mean if the dude works there he's gotta know what the best is, so that's what we went with. AGAIN LET ME TELL YOU, WOW THE PIG SMILEY IS THE BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE like OMG. The whole atmosphere of this place is really cool like I really encourage all of you to come try it out. The entire staff seem great and very family friendly, even the gm was out and about walking around the restaurant talking and laughing with the guests with a happy smile on his face. We will definitely be back and with our friends too because I think my girlfriend and I found our new place to go. Nico also informed us that they have concerts in the restaurant on Sunday mornings where they serve brunch too, so cool!! WE WILL FOR...
Read moreI've eaten there three times before, but this last one is worth mentioning. The place is beautiful, almost perfect, well-located, and its terrace is comfortable. You can hang out with friends and watch the kids play right out front (I've done it before, and it's a luxury). We tend to be very patient with service. But this time was truly humiliating.
I went alone, the place was half empty, I asked for a specific table, and that's when things went wrong. I had to ask for the menu, ask for water, and ask for my order. Up to this point, we could say that it was normal for a place where service is not their specialty, BUT when my tomato soup arrived, I asked for a spoon at least three times, which never arrived, the waitress told me "we don't have clean spoons, they are washing them, when there is a clean one I will bring it", which did not happen, I ate my soup as much as I could with the bread, after that I waited for more than half an hour, the waitress and the manager passed by and ignored me, they served everyone except me, when my soup was already cold and I was quite upset, I asked for the bill.
They brought it to me immediately and until I commented that the service was a little bad, they said, "Sorry for that" and seriously they were unable to offer me the spoon to take the less, (my soup was half as well as my pasta); - I should have paid half of the bill to be honest- , hahaha today it makes me laugh, but it was an insult.
The truth is the service is very bad, in previous times the location was compensated by the food (But this time I couldn't even eat well), but yesterday the service made even the wonderful location worth it. I hope they improve, they have a...
