On Friday morning, I had a work meeting with my employee here and she arrived first & grabbed a table near the window, which I love. Lots of parking near the door and across the way & I actually snagged one in the shade as it was already 80 degrees outside. I skipped the hostess but motioned to her that I saw my party and as soon as I sat down, our server asked if I'd like a glass of water - yes please! She had already placed 2 coffee mugs and a coffee urn on the table, which I LOVE. When I want a coffee refill, I don't want to have to wait for the server to come back around. The same was done with the water - great way to keep your servers efficient, management. The server gave us a minute to look at the menu and we both chose the trifecta - me with the waffle and she with the pancake. I had ordered my eggs over-medium and they came out fine. I love my bacon crispy but my 1st piece was a little like beef jerky! I picked up another piece, hoping for better and it was fine. Very crispy, so maybe they want to pull it out before it gets too tough. I loved the waffle - kind of hard to mess that up but it was very good and with the little bowl of jam (or sort of a fruit puree but not really) to top it. The syrup arrives warm and stays warm - very nice! Our service was awesome, which one would expect, since they were practically empty (see photos) at 9am. But by the time we left, around 10:30 - there was not an empty seat in the place! That's when those coffee urns really come in handy. I did feel bad because we didn't notice until we placed our order that there were no electrical outlets for me to plug in my laptop (it's old and doesn't hold a charge long), so we waited until after we ate to have our meeting and had to move to a booth to use the receptacle. Our server was a little disappointed that we didn't order anything, so we tried to keep our business meeting VERY short. Sorry! The only negative I have is to please clean your restroom!!! After a great meal, the last thing you want is to step into a room that smells like urine! And only 2 stalls - no! There were people waiting when I walked in and when I walked out and we ALL commented about the awful smell. Bleach the sinks and floors and for goodness sake get a...
Read moreI ordered a Belgian waffle, expecting something pretty standard—a simple, sweet treat to start the day. At first glance, it looked like any other waffle you might come across: golden brown, perfectly symmetrical with those deep, square pockets, and just a light dusting of powdered sugar on top. It was neat, almost too neat, like it came straight out of a breakfast menu photoshoot. I figured it would be good, but nothing out of the ordinary.
But then I slid my knife through it, and that’s when everything changed. The crisp outer layer gave way with the softest crunch, revealing an airy, almost cloud-like center. The texture alone had me intrigued—crispy on the outside, tender and warm on the inside, like it had just come off a hot griddle and hadn’t been waiting more than a minute to be served.
As I took my first bite, I was hit with a wave of buttery richness, balanced by just the right amount of sweetness. There was a subtle hint of vanilla and maybe even a touch of citrus, something bright that danced around the edges of the flavor. It didn’t even need syrup to be good—it stood on its own, rich and satisfying. But once I added a drizzle of warm maple syrup and a dollop of whipped cream, it became something else entirely. The syrup filled the little pockets, soaking into the waffle just enough without making it soggy, adding that extra sweetness and depth.
Every bite after that was pure joy. It was the kind of dish that catches you off guard—not flashy, not overloaded with toppings or gimmicks, but made with such care and quality that it reminds you how amazing simple things can be when they’re done right. What started out looking like an ordinary waffle turned out to be one of the most unexpectedly fantastic breakfast experiences I’ve had in...
Read moreMy rating is on the welcome only…. Not the food, but my daughter and I brought my sister here for her birthday earlier this year and wanted to come back. We had a 30 minute wait and upon receiving our message that our table was ready, we proceeded to the hostess stand. Now, there were no hosts to greet us and we waited patiently as there was one cashier taking care of a couple and there was a lady in line behind them as well. After waiting for what seemed to be about 8-10 minutes, a small group of 3 came in and we all stood approximately 5 more minutes or more…Well, let me tell you, the manager came over and acknowledged the group that came in after us and I excused myself and said we received our message and had already been waiting (obviously before they even received their message) he responded dismissively and said ok I will seat you next and I was confused at this point. I asked for the manager and low and behold he was the manager (I wasn’t a rare of that, but his name is Rogelio) and me being the person I am (lol) I chuckled and said oh, ok can I have the district’s info and he was so proud and informed me that the district was actually on site! We were going to leave and when he said the district was in, of course I waited to speak to the because I don’t believe the manager handled the seating properly…. Now if the other party had received their call first, I would understand and that was not the case!!!! Needless to say, the only reason we stayed is because district (Kyle Weber) took care of our meal up front and I did let him know they I would be leaving my review still. First watch need to get it together! Treat all customers...
