It was my first time there and i wasnt disappointed. Now i will admit i haven't been to many burger joints but i will have to say this is a very delicious, very juicy and very flavorful burger. What you see here is a double meat, double cheeseburger bun toasted with grilled onions (which i requested), lettuce, and tomatoes. I ordered the combo which came with a small drink and fries as you can see from my pic they are homemade and crispy. Now this isn't your usual sit down type of place you stand in line and place your order and take a seat. The girl taking your order is quick and your food is hot when they bring it to your table. Even though i enjoyed the food Im giving it 4 stars because the poppy seeds on the bun is over whelming and though i had mentioned to the girl taking my order it was my first time there She failed to acknowledge and help me understand that i had options. For example you can order a bun with no poppy seeds, which i will get next time and she also confirmed (after my friend mentioned it to me) that i could order tater tots and onion rings with my order. She also mentioned that i could add extras onto my tater tots, fries or onion rings however i would like them for an additional charge of course. I will end with this; the food is delicious and the price is very reasonable and now that i know i have options to customize my burger and sides i will definitely be going back...
Read moreThis was a nice surprise. For weeks, I've been visiting the gym next door. I'd get teased by the smell of burgers the minute I'd get out of the car. I finally gave in.
The burger patties are thin but cooked perfectly. The flavor of the cheese is noticeable, just the right amount of melted and creamy, accompanying the meat flavor but not taking center stage or falling behind. The foremost charm of the burgers has to be the poppy seed bun. It's airy, soft and with about a million seeds. However, if you're going all out with a fully loaded double, it does fall apart towards the end a bit. Still, it's good all the way to that last bite. If you like Keller's burgers, the bun, and the size, here puts the burger just a small step ahead. Neither the tots nor the coating of the stuffed jalapeños were burnt. That alone earned the 5th star for me since everyone seems to burn both! Ordering is fast, mostly held up by slow customers, and the order reaches your table still a bit too hot to eat.
Only downside of the whole meal were the fountain drinks, although it's rare to get those right. If you care about decor, then you may ding it for that as that is pretty basic, doused in mall store music coming from some speakers somewhere.
If you're looking for a proper fast burger, it's hard to do better than these. It's absolutely worth a couple extra miles on...
Read moreOhhhh my GOODNESS!! This place is literally a hole in the wall, and if you didn't already know it was there, you would miss it. Which I did three times before finally finding it!!
That said, I have not had a burger this good in a long, long time. Most of the current burger offerings are silly little 3 1/2 inch things with lots of foo-foo like feta cheese and raspberry jam. This burger is not that. It is HUGE in every direction with good old-fashioned fixings and delicious meat. I probably looked like a python trying to eat it, but I really didn't care because it was SOOO GOOD!! I ordered the Mushroom Jalapeno Burger, minus the jalapenos (I'm a wuss...) with mayo and it did not disappoint!! About the only thing I would fault them on is the onion rings. I prefer a more flaky, tempura-ish batter, but that's just personal preference. They were certainly edible.
I will definitely return and am anxious to try some of the other menu items!! Was...
