I have such fond memories of this bakery, but I can definitely say under the new ownership things have changed. It has been at least eight years since we’ve had one of their cakes. I ordered a cake for the Super Bowl and when my friend arrived to pick it up, they indicated no record of a cake ordered in my name. Yet the $45 charge was fully on my American Express. My friend waited for 30 minutes while they scrambled to see if I would accept another cake and then no one knew how to reverse the charge. On Monday morning I would’ve expected to be the first order of business, but I called the store. Yes, 10 minutes after they opened. When I initially called, I was more concerned, but as Francine, the manager, began to put me on court level interrogation, I became increasingly frustrated. For me the situation was quite simple. I ordered a cake. There was no cake. I need a refund. Rather than hearing me and being. Rather than hearing me and appearing to be empathetic in anyway, Francine chose to enter into a back-and-forth from which I was not going to back down. I was the harmed party and customer. Nor was I gonna wait another 24 hours for a refund that I was clearly due. They required me to give my full credit card number over the phone indicating that several people may have the same last four digits. I was clear with Francine that I would not call back that I would only be working with American Express to dispute the charge at the end of the discussion. I did have a refund. But at no point that I NEVER got an apology in this entire process.

As fate would have another friend of mine, also ordered a cake from Casa Linda. Interestingly, enough when she arrived, the cake was not made according to her specifications either. But The Baker was able to add chocolate frosting on top of the white and the inscription for the Super Bowl. So at the end of the day, our goal was accomplished. There was cake. And I also learned that in eight years, my taste was changed and it was not the wonderful flavor profile that I remembered. So needless to say, they don’t have to worry about me as a...

I am a very dissapointed customer i had paid for a carrot cake yesterday i forgot to let them know not to put raisin or nuts in the carrot cake becuase my friend has a medical condition that she cant eat those called at 9:57am to ask them not to put nuts or raisins in the carrot cake the lady said the baker told hwr he cant do it they wont have enough time tp finish cake by 11 i told them i wasnt going to pick it up until 3:30-4:30ish and she said the baker said they still wouldnt be able to do.it for me i ecplained i was upser and would write a bad review on Google and nextdoor.com and shshe still talked to.the baker and he said there is nothing they can do amd i told her why not when it doesnt take that long to bake a cake and she said that the baker said he couldnt do it and the manager wasnt available smh that they would call.me back when the manager got there to give me a refund im waiting but i will never be going to.this bakery again and wouldnt recommend it because apparently customer service isnt that important and i was actually planning on using them and giving them plenty of more business from me and realatives i was going to recommend them but if they dont value me as a customer than they dont need me as a customer may GOD bless y'all and take care. I forgot to mention the ladybi talked to hung up on me and wouldnt answer. Thats wasnt very polite of her or good customer service. They lost a...

For the passed 30 years have always bought my kids, grandkids, mother, etc.. birthday cakes, and also bought wedding cakes, anniversary cakes at Casa Linda Bakery. My kids knew they didn't have to ask me what kind of birthday cake I wanted for my birthday because it was always Casa Linda white cake with butter cream icing. WHAT HAVE THE NEW OWNERS DONE TO THIS BAKERY! The cakes are dry and the delicious butter cream icing they used to have is no longer edible. The first cake I bought after the bakery was sold was so dry my guess even said something about it. I called the next day and told them about it. I've tried them again a couple of more times and each time was worse than the time before. It's not just the cakes that have changed for the worse it's the cookies, cupcakes, pies, everything. I'm so very disappointed with what the new owners have done to this landmark bakery. It use to be the best place to go for any bakery item and now...

So pleasantly surprised with our baby's first birthday cakes. I got into a pickle with not having the cakes ordered 10 days out from the 1st birthday party. Casa Linda Bakery said they could accommodate, no problem. Was able to also accommodate my Bear shaped cake request and matched our invitations perfectly. Very reasonably priced compared to every other bakery. Surprised at the quality of the design and was again surprised with how good the marble cake was! It was a crowd pleaser. Update: Got the baby's 2nd Birthday cake here. Chocolate cake w/ choc icing in between the layers. It was to die for, very moist. Everyone at the party said it was the best chocolate cake they had ever had. I asked for a school bus cake since my 2 year old is crazy for school buses. It turned out amazing, pictures attached to review. Not inexpensive for the school bus cake, but half of what I would have paid somewhere else.

I am so disappointed. I just picked up a cake for my granddaughter’s first birthday and it looks absolutely horrible. I have paid over $100 for this cake and it looks like a kinder gardener decorated it. I guess I just expected more from professionals. On my way home. I called to talk to them about it and of course the owner wasn’t there and the girl I spoke with hung up on me twice I do not recommend this bakery if you need anything Custom done or have any special occasion you will be extremely disappointed. Next time I think I might be better off going to Walmart :-(
