Unreceptive towards food allergies and celiac disease or it might be racial I never know but they cross contaminated my food by putting flour tortillas on the grill but then realizing I asked for corn tortillas cuz when I took my order the first thing I did was note down my allergies. They looked at me with contempt when I corrected them. The person who took my order said they'll clean it. The guy prepping took a dirty rag and ran some water on it then Wiped down the the grill then put the corn tortillas in that same spot. The grill wasn't thoroughly clean.
If you cannot take allergy orders just say so. Because they acted like they could handle it up until after they took my money. Once they had my money. They proceeded to mess that whole process up then stared at me in a confrontational manner. As if to try to intimidate me. Absolutely unprofessional, cashier refused to mark my food allergies down, refused to show me a gluten free menu. And when I said my food allergies she gave no verbal or non-verbal acknowledgement of it and just stared at me like I was suppose to just order then and there. They did not handle my food correctly at all.
The person who took my order didn't bother making a note that it was an allergy order. They seemed apathetic thst I was making an allergy order so I'm not sure if they were just negligent or they don't take black people with celiac disease and food allergies (shellfish allergy) seriously. And it felt like the latter as the person just throw the bag of food at my table and walked off and said nothing. I threw my order in the trash on the way out. $35 down the drain because I couldn't trust the food and I would rather lose $35 then spend a night in the hospital because of these employees negligence and...
Read moreFood was fine, but customer service from who I believe to be the MANAGER was lazy/inconsiderate. I guess because of the virus they’re only doing to go orders. I get to the register and I’m asked “are you here for a to go order?” I say “no. I’m ordering and eating here” he says okay and takes my order. When I get my food it’s wrapped up like a to go order so I think maybe they accidentally did this and did not complain. I sat and started eating my food and the person who took my order (again I believe they’re the manager) passed by me twice. The third time he decided to THEN say “You can’t eat here. You have to eat it to go.” I’m confused and explained “I’m sorry. You didn’t say anything” he just plainly states “yeah. It’s cool. You can’t eat it here.” So I awkwardly leave. This mf didn’t say one word about it when he took my order. Didn’t say anything about it when he passed by me the first or even second time. They don’t even have signs on the door stating they’re only doing to go orders. Like speak the f up ! You’re the manager you shouldn’t be scared to tell me something like that especially when you took my order. Take a communication course so you don’t have someone looking stupid /you don’t look...
Read moreFirst order today was for breakfast tacos with the bacon extra crispy. I got all the way home to discover that the bacon was almost raw. After driving back up, I asked for something different, and I was charged for the difference despite the loss of 25 minutes of my own time handling the store's gross negligence. (Not only should I not have paid the different, but I think most restaurants who care about customer service would have simply refunded the original transaction.)
I've been a regular at this store since it opened, but I am questioning whether or not I will go back after this incident.
08/31/2022 - Update: Another "extra crispy" bacon order where the bacon tasted soft and borderline undercooked. If I go back, it will not be for the breakfast tacos. It's a shame after so many years of delicious breakfast tacos that someone has made a horrible purchasing decision or the kitchen staff that always used to do a spectacular job is suddenly incapable of doing what they always...
