This is a nice Chinese buffet. The decor is lovely, very modern and calming, the price was ok and the food was decent. Overall I thought that there was a good selection of nicely seasoned food. Was everything perfect? No. But it is a Chinese buffet in a strip mall and I chose it for the price, and the ability to sample so many Chinese foods at one sitting for a low price. The hidden surprise is their Kimchi.... home made. Crisp and fresh! The chicken and pork dishes were all great and they had heaping trays of crayfish that they replenished regularly. The loosers were the shrimp. On a buffet shrimp tend to get overcooked and hence, they are hard and chewy. So, overall, they had a great selection and I would recommend to give it a try. Just set your expectations accordingly and stay away from things that dont tend to fare well on a buffet.

Small selection of dishes. During dinner time, the food was anywhere from lukewarm to cold. In spite of a decade of experience forcing down Army chow, I spit out my pork ribs (wife thought they were beef? Label just said "short ribs"). My wife had me smell her chicken, and I regretted it immediately. It smelled like a mix of wet dog and dish detergent. The staff however was very courteous... Our son loved his French fries and enjoyed dipping cookies in his chocolate pudding. Wife however said her shrimp in several dishes tasted like they had been cooked in a hot, sweaty couch. She kept trying dishes and couldn't get much down except spring rolls and the donuts.

The first thing you have to take into consideration is the following, Mei Mei’s is a Chinese Buffet in a strip mall. If you understand that you will really enjoy this place for what it is. They have what I call a large selection of food laid out for you. My favorite was the seafood. Along with that, they have all the standard Chinese dishes like fried rice and lo mein. I sampled both and found them very tasty. I also had some egg drop soup. It was steaming hot but could have used a bit more flavor. They also have a few things such as ice cream, fruit, and pudding for your sweet tooth. All this for a very low price. Mei Mei’s is well worth the trip.

I love this restaurant . For several reasons. First, the food is good, and clean and as fresh as is possible at a buffet restaurant.

It is an incredibly good buy. At lunch, it's $7 and change for all you can eat. That's a great bargain. Even people like me, who can't all that much at one time, can fill up one of their styrafoam containers for takeout for the same price.

The first time I went to the restaurant, I got takeout and didn't put much in the container, as I had assumed that the price would be based on weight. "Not so", they said. "Fill it up."

In the evening, they have oysters on the half shell. They always have cold shrimp in the shell. Some of my favorites are orange beef, and the shrimp dish-I forget the name of it, and the wonton soup.

There are four big,, long buffets. Most of them are dishes with protein, like chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, etc., but there are is also the green bean dish and rice, and several fresh fruit options, and there is a separate dessert section, though I find the fresh fruit so attractive, that I have never tried them.

I really don't like hot, spicy food, and the only possible issue with this restaurant that I can think of is that the spicy food lover may have few options.

There is sushi, and while it does not measure up to the sushi of a $100/plate sushi restaurant in NYC (where I have a lot of experience), who would expect it to. It's clean and well done and simply doesn't include the very pricey ingredients.

I must share with you something that happened tonight. I went there only for soup. I am quite ill with a really bad flu and that's all I wanted. The really nice man at checkout simply gave it to me. He said I could pay for it next time.

I have just one more thing to say, and that is that they care about food safety. We discussed the possibility of taking out the oysters on the half shell. They don't do that, he said, because of the risk that a customer might not eat them right away and if they waited too long, could get sick. Now, that's taking responsibility.

Lucky me, this restaurant is...

I am still LIVID!! My friends and I decided to have dinner at this restaurant last Friday shortly after 6pm. While we were eating, half way into our meal, we heard a man with a cracking voice yell out..."This is America. We all come to this country to seek refuge." That caught our attention and we suddenly stopped eating. Sadly, it turned out the reason he was yelling was because he was asked by the restaurant manager, half way into his meal, to carry his plate and eat outside while it was raining. Why? Because he looked like he was homeless but was rather a mechanic that had worked all day. All this man wanted to do was eat a hot meal that he drove 20 miles for and go back home to his wife and children he said. After a lady who was also a customer saw what was happening, she invited him to her table to calm him down. After 5 minutes of convincing him, he eventually agreed to sit down but could not finish his food. He was dehumanized, and discriminated against because of his clothing. The manager who asked him to leave then proceeded to tell another customer that she would rather serve people like "her"-those who are well dressed, than to serve him. She completely refused to apologize or see where she was wrong and continued to act as though nothing had happened. This restaurant should be ashamed of themselves! I am disgusted at the hatred that still lives within us. Even if he was homeless, humble yourself, treat people well, stop judging and love everybody. It's not that hard. Oh and to make matters worse, the food was way below average. It was cold and seemed like it had been out for hours. Trays were empty and there was not much of...

The food was good but they are horrible on customer service.... I went with my wife and kids and was asked what's to drink.. we all said water.. my wife asked is the kids drink free the lady said yes it was free.. when it was time to check out we saw they charged us for the kids drink... so when I asked the waitress she said ask at counter... so I did.. the lady said oh no kids eat free but all drinks are not free.. so I was like ok well why did she say that.. so the lady at the counter spoke in Chinese with the lady and said we asked for a drink.. now keep in mind we all said water so my son did have a water cup and a cup with a pink lemonade because the waitress said all kid drinks were free... anyways so the lady at the counter said oh she said u asked for a drink.. I said no she didn't we asked was the kid drinks free... so the lady at counter said oh she misunderstood you and slammed the ticket on the counter . I said wait so because she can't understand English well and she is a waitress at the business that it's my fault and I still have to pay for that ? She handed me a receipt with same total and never said im sorry . Didn't take off the drink or nothing.. I really was pissed.. they misunderstood and it's our fault??!!! Smh DO BETTER!!!!...
