I live at an apartment complex close to this location. Since the pandemic I have made frequent stops, sometimes 2-3 times in a week. Not always the best food or service, but close & convenient.
Because I am so close in distance to this shopping center I commonly walk to the surrounding grocery store and restaurants in the vicinity.
Tonight I walked over to find that the dining floor was closed due to COVID. So I stopped at the line to create an order.
I stood there for several minutes saying hello into the monitor with no response.
Finally when the person did respond, they made the statement that they couldn’t serve me because I wasn’t in a vehicle.
First off, if this is the case, then why didn’t they simply say this when I first walked up??! That way it wouldn’t have wasted anybody’s time.
Secondly, when I asked, “if there was no way for me to make an order from inside the building, how was I supposed to make an order now?” There was no response and utter ignorance from whoever was working the floor.
Fun fact: As soon as I walked away, I could hear the employee on the speaker immediately take the order from the next person in line.
As it turns out, Tom Thumb was more than happy to take my money, despite the fact I hadn’t driven there & I probably got a healthier dinner anyhow.
But, seems like a very poor decision on this business, as I will not be a returning customer.
You would think that with Covid increasing and no way for people to order from inside, it wouldn’t be smart to turn down repeat and paying customers.
Or, at least you would think they would respond to a simple question as I wasn’t being rude. . . and just simply asking a question. Clearly they were there and listening, just opting to say nothing and simply ignore me instead of dealing with the situation in a professional manner.
But to each their own! I am happy to take my money and spend it elsewhere & from reading some of the other reviews, looks like that is the best...
Read moreI visited this location yesterday (3/14/20) specifically because the close at 11pm I live in Plano and was hoping to get their in time. I have gone to this location a few times during the day and the service is exceptional. This particular visit was the worst experience I have ever had and the food was horrible.
I got to the location at 10:21 PM and wanted specifically two orders of the 9pcs Wicked Wings every location I have gone in DFW the wings have been made cook to order. This particular night I went to the Drive thru and the lady on the speaker (Name: Latecia) proceeded to rudely tell me that she only had one box available that was left meaning they been sitting their which it showed they where old. I asked could she make another order I would wait as I have every other visit she said it was closing time and " I Cant drop no chicken" I said okay and ored tenders instead and the old wings when picking the sides I asked for the dirty rice she was out of that asked for Okra she was out of that finally I asked what does she have gave me the options i selected. Asked for Lotta zing dipping sauce she said " I aint got that neither I have the powder" annoyed by this point I go to the window to pay. She is all talking to someone in the back saying how she is ready to "Get the Hell Outta there and was not staying late for no one" LIKE ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I get it it's late but at least be professional when people are at the window . Worst experience ever the food was old and staled and it showed just like her attitude. Management please look into your night shift crew they don't...
Read moreGood location, good food-Breakfast- just wish they would cook it 2 more minutes, but the music is too loud. The speakers are above the customer at the register which makes it harder to give your order or hear what the employee says- especially while wearing a mask. I did not know I was eating at Joe's Crab Shack..
UPDATE- Went back for breakfast, typical drive thru(fast) service. Did not cook my hash browns enough- more like hash whites. Just greasy and uncooked for the most part except for about 5 of them, had to throw them away.
Update- I've been to this location several times. First, they did not cook my food long enough, then they finally cooked it longer after a few visits. Once I went by at 630am and there was only 1 employee in the store- could not open until the cook arrived. A few days later, one of the employees told me they were going to stop serving breakfast due to lack of customers. On the last morning I attempted to get breakfast at 630am, nobody was there and lights were off even though all the breakfast signs are still on the windows and menu. So I had to find a new restaurant to get breakfast which was more dependable and opened on time. I have not been back to this location in...
