Chicken tenders is my favorite item to eat and when Golden Chick came to Oak Cliff, TX off Kiest Blvd, I have been a fan every since. This has been my go-to business for my tenders for over 10 years. They are known for the golden, juicy; crispy and tasty tenders. The disrespect that is being displayed by these Golden Chick restaurants is unacceptable. My confidence has decreased drastically and I am hesitant to go to most of them nowadays. I have a couple that I still trust in Dallas/DeSoto TX that usually hits the mark and take pride in the product they put out.
Well, it is something about the night shift at this location that they just can't get right or simple don't care. I order the same meal twice with a different side and different drink, which (2) 2 piece roasted chicken combos. I also ordered a 6 piece tender combo and 3 extra rolls. I asked did they have honey for the extra rolls I order, was advised yes and I was still given my order without the extra rolls... I had to get back in the drive-thru as the lobby had closed for the night. I got to the window to inform the male employee that I didn't get the rolls I just added at the window... he related it to the female employee that gave me the honey that we didn't get the rolls... she thought it was funny, started laughing as if not being accurate is a joke. I chalked that up but I definitely didn't find it funny because I should have to empty my bags to make sure I have everything before I pull off but hat may be the best bet to avoid having to go back the same day or a different day for missing item or an incorrect order. Nevertheless, I still had to go back up there that night because the male employee put in the wrong order as shown on the receipt. Instead of (2) 2 piece roasted chicken, I got one roasted chicken combo and one fried chicken after I specifically told him, same combo twice, just change the side and drink, he still put in what he wanted to, not paying attention to the customer. I was furious because I almost wanted to check the entire order after they left out the rolls at the drive -thru, but I thought surely, that was a simple mistake, boy was I wrong. I called and advised them of their mistake and was advised to come back. I get there and order another 4 piece tender combo and they forgot I called and I even announced at the window I had just called and my incorrect order, he told me to pull up and didn't even address it after I got the food for the new order... I sat there and waited, the female came and I told her I am waiting for my previous order to be replaced. She asked for the wrong order with the fried 2-piece. .. I asked aren't you NOT supposed to take food back, she said yes, we just trash it... I honestly believe she just changed the chicken instead of remaking the entire order as they said they would.. but it seems as if they are more into each other and having a good time versus making sure they are putting out accurate and quality product. The okra on one of the 2 pieces was old and hard (I didn't bother to address it as I had already left to replace the other order, but I was told about it once I returned home.) I will post a picture of my tenders as they were small and hard to chew but one in particular was discolored, dry and definitely old (picture attached). When they are that small, you should get extra as those meals are cheap but the portion size is half of the usual portion. Same price, less food. I basically wasted my gas by going up there twice to get my complete my order done right.
I hope they get it together and take heed to these reviews as it's only a matter of time before someone gets severely ill with bad food coming out of their establishment and bad service doesn't warrant longevity once the customer's get fed up, especially with terrible reviews. When I order my food they stated they needed to make some more chicken, and the wait time was 18 minutes. I was okay with that as well, because I understand it takes time to cook. There was two other cars ahead of me so my wait time should've been too long. But I was totally wrong. A lady came walking up through the drive through yelling and cursing because the two guys at the restaurant got her ordered wrong and they were laughing and playing at the window. She yelled out yall better check your food before pulling off, because my order was all wrong. I still gave them the benefit of doubt. The manager spoke with the lady, and they brought her out a new order. Now it's my turn in line that was already a 15 minute wait. I pulled up to the window and they gave me my drink. I waited for 10 minutes or so, then the manager asked me to pull in the front, and they would bring me out my food. I said okay, and I pulled to the front of the building. I was on the phone with my mother at that time. She called me right when they handed me my drink. I looked down at my phone and noticed I been sitting there waiting for over 35 minutes. I walked to the drive through window, and asked them where was my food, and that I been waiting on my order. They asked me oh you had the 8 piece chicken I stated yes, okay we will bring it out. I waited in the car for another five minutes as another guy came out and asked again you wanted the 8 piece chicken right. I stated yes, then shortly after the manager came out with the food, and she NEVER said sorry about the wait. She just handed me my food, and walked away in a hurry. I got the food home, and it was cold and my chicken strip was stuck together and it was not cook completely it was gross looking and my 8 piece chicken was cold. My side orders was wrong as well. I never thought if it was error that the staff made you would later be told we can only replace what you have here! 🤔🤔 I came last night my order was wrong my tenders were not spicy. I come in today with last nights order the lady with a blue shirt I’m assuming the manager on duty worse experience. She too cocky and telling me that manager is Crystal. I had to pay for corn nuggets that I substituted for instead of a drink. She is rude unprofessional and needs to take out that eyebrow piercing. I really hate that I came to the establishment in the 1st place. Nasty restrooms (sign on door had been stepped on and then taped to the door) the men restroom sign just as worse. The whole store needs to be revamped with some positive vibes and attitudes and clean the damn restrooms!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone that came to drive thru she told to hold one moment you fully staffed to put anyone on hold. Wall replacement sitting on the dining table.
