My initial rating is a 3.5 so I decided to round up. The place is quaint and had a decent lunch crowd, the cashier was friendly upon greeting but seemed perturbed with some guests complaints about wait times; her frustration was more with the cooks than the patron who was complaining that his pickup order was supposed to be ready 20 minutes prior and that he would be late back to work.
The menu board can't be read until you are at the register to order which creates delay; fortunately I was given a menu upon receiving my to go order so I should be prepared in the future. There are a ton of options so indecisive folks beware. I went with the cowboys philly with marinara and fries($12.50 including tip). In all it took about 20-25 minutes from order to receiving my food; about 10 minutes waiting in line to order (in and out in 35 mins). The parking lot stripes are faded so parking is not ideal (think southside parking lot at Valley View mall; imaginary lanes).
The food was good, the Philly was very tasty, the hoagie was fresh, toasted, and soft, the fries were on the greasy side as if the oil was not up to temp. The biggest complaint is that the team didn't work great as a team, over communication, no communication, visible frustration, and no clear process for who was doing what; I felt there needed to be a dedicated person on sandwiches (burgers/phillies), one on chicken (wings/tenders), and the other on frying (fries/funnel cakes) but it seemed like they were all over each other. Not to forget the fries were a tad too greasy for me but I ate them (note to mgmt dead patrons do not a profit makes; most of your patrons are "pre-everythang" keep folks alive by turning the heat up on the fries). I'll be back, but not on my lunch break; my director is fixated with my comings...
Read moreVisited this restaurant a few months back when we first arrived to Dallas but left without ordering. Visited again on 3/6 after no luck with good phillys here and seen a few food reviews on TikTok that suggested here. Arriving atmosphere was ok, guy taking our order was cool and told us about fifteen mins. Twenty minutes pass and we returned, food still wasn’t ready. Thirty minutes passed and I had to go and asked about our order after seeing several people who ordered after us get their food. Yes, we know this isn’t fast food but there were orders smaller and some just as large as ours from looking at the boxes that received theirs before us. Food finally comes up after about thirty five minutes. Asked for another ranch and blue cheese which I felt after such a long wait could’ve been handed to us but I didn’t mind paying for it but what bothered me was the dollar per cup and it was just the normal little 2/$1 cups. Even if they’re not fifty cents a dollar is RIDICULOUS! Get home and finally get to our food we waited forever for and the wings were dry (we had a wet sauce). Seems like some one half tossed them in sauce because parts of our wings were unsauced. They were hard as well which I feel more soft would of taken care of that extra crunch. The flavors suck (mango habernero and honey bbq) my fiancé was supposed to have half lp but only received bbq. The Philly and fries were everything I had been looking for and would be the only thing I would return for. Kool aid for drinks and carrots on food is a thing here I guess but they should definitely let people know before putting carrots in their food. Kool aid was too sweet but I’m not a fan of it anyways. Overall I give a 7/10 and would only go back...
Read moreHands down! This is the best chicken wings, and then some place I've ever visited from where I live at. It's worth the drive which is 45 minutes for me. I've been there five times and I can promise you they have been consistent every time. My issue is with most restaurants there is no consistency. They woo you in the beginning, and without consistency they lose you after your second or third trip. That's not the case here. Not only the food is excellent here , the people who service the customers are friendly, polite, kind and considerate. Don't get that twisted they don't put up with disrespect. Because their vibes are so positive, why should they put up with any form of disrespect having great customer service. with That food is consistent and I know I keep saying consistent but those who really go to different restaurants and other places can understand how important consistency is and true customer service. I'm from a place to have awesome wings and great pizza but hands down. This is definitely in my top three. But my number one here in Texas. So please stop through And grab you something to eat. You don't have to come back into another month in the food is still be great tasting as if it's your first time all over again. But you can come back the following weekend and it still be great tasting. As a matter of fact, I'm heading there again this weekend. Hope to see new friendly faces. Blessings and...
