A debacle that was turned around as well as it could have been. Kudos to Andy and staff for making a great situation out of a bad one. I have ordered from GAPC numerous times and have always called it in because I’m old school I guess and don’t trust these computers yet. Anyway, I had family in from out of town and we ordered a pizza, calzone and some garlic knots. I think there was a mix up and it may have been put as a pick up as opposed to delivery. About an hour passed and we called back because it was supposed to be 30 or 40 minutes I think. There was some confusion and they seemed to have realized their mistake. Andy, who I’m guessing is the manager or just someone that is good at making good decisions, owned the mistake, said they were going to remake the food so it was fresh and get it out to us. He also comped the meal and sent me a $25 gift card. In a day where people seem to be pointing their fingers at other employees, the weather, their car blowing up, a hangnail or any other possible reason for things going awry, it was SO refreshing to have someone own a mistake, make it right(and then some) and move on. Read moreToday was unfortunate, where their online ordering software grossly estimated their ability to prepare food. My email receipt was time stamped 5:19, with an estimated ready for pickup time at 5:43. I show up at 6:05, because pizza is notoriously late. That's when I'm told, sorry they are behind, but they need 20 more minutes. They were clearly very busy and backed up... so it is what it is. At 6:27, I came back in, and they were out of pasta and needed 15 more minutes to cook it. That was frustrating, but it's hard to time these things. I entertain my hungry 7 yr old and come back in at 6:48, at which point they still have to make meatballs and our second pasta dish. It took them another 30 minutes, not until 7:18, for them to hand me my order from 119 minutes ago. We got home, and our pizza was cold, the thin crust was soggy, but the pasta was good. I placed an order online for 1 pizza and garlic knots at 6:55pm with the site saying it’d be ready at 7:35pm. I get to the shop and the lady at the counter tells me it’ll be 45 minutes….ok I’ll wait…after 45 minutes I get up to the counter and she says it’ll be another 25 minutes. I show up after 25 minutes at the counter and she says it’ll be another 15. I come back to the counter, she checks the progress and after 5 minutes of searching they realize they misplaced it and or gave it to another customer. They then start making me a brand new pizza and tell me it’s going to be another 20 minutes. 30 minutes later I get my pizza and garlic knots.
Around this time as well I asked the girl if I can get a small free cup of ranch and she tells me it costs extra…..CLASSIC
